1962 Chevy Impala. This car has had one owner since 1974! Very Good Driver, very solid car! Doors, trunk, and hood all fit great. Shows no signs of being wrecked and it was not just thrown together to sell. Originally a 283, 3 speed car. In the early '90's the owner decided he was going to have the car repainted it's original white color. Most of the trim was replaced with NOS peices when the car went back together. It was also at this time when he located a '64 truck 409 motor, (yes it IS a 409 motor, and a M20 Muncie transmission to put in the car. Was told currently that it would have about 20k miles on it. Rear end is an original 3.30 posi. This car runs and drives Great!! Goes down the freeway at 75 with ease. Interior is beautiful, original style recovered seats, new carpet, original dash paint and trim that is very nice. Solid floors and trunk area, with no sign of ever being cut open for any repairs. Couple small bubbles at left rear wheel opening, see pics. Paint is nice driver quality, on a scale, maybe a 6 out of 10. I believe some buff/polish work would help. Bumpers are very nice. All original tinted glass is good, and all windows go up and down as they should. Everything works as it should, with exception to a speedometer that seems sticky and is not very accurate. Recent new parts..... Rebuilt original drum brakes, new fuel tank, fuel pump, Edelbrock carb, aluminum radiator, water pump, tune up, and exhaust. Tires are also new. I bought this car to keep last June, with NO intention of selling. But life is changing a bit, so the last one to come home is unfortunately the first one that has to go. This is a VERY Good driving car, gets lots of attention and is offered at a fraction of what the cost would be if it was an Original 409 car. All the fun, without all the expense! Very Nice car for the money!
