1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Pro-Street
Up for auction is my amazing69 Camaro! Not your averagefirst generation Camaro here! If you don't like loud fast cars then this is not the car for you!! If you like having a beautiful one of a kind ride that will fill your every adrenalineneed then you might wanna check this out!! This car is a absoluteblast to drive!! It rattles windows and sets off car alarms every were it goes!! The car was sent to a pro chassis shop about 6 years ago. Not your average back yard build here. The shop that did the chassis work specializedin building pro stock cars for a living. All of the fab work is top notch to say the least. If you are in the market for a pro street/big tire car then fab work is paramount! The shop used a Art Morrison back half and 4 link set up as well as a Art Morrison braced 9inch housing. Has QA1 coil overs in the rear. The rear end has a aluminum Strange center section with 4.56 gears, locker and Strange axles. The back half is tied in with the original subframe that has been re-enforced and had tubular upper and lower A-Arms and QA1 coil overs added. All new Moog front suspension components and a quick ratio manual steering box. The car also has 4whl disc brakes. All tied together with a 12pt cage with swing out bars on the drivers and passenger side for easy entry. I leave them out mostly when driving it. All of the custom tin work has a really nice fit and finish and has been painted silver. The original front bucket seats, dash, door panels, steering column and headliner were left to give it more of a street car feel rather then full on race car. Has a La'car steering wheel, Hurst quarter stick shifter,Autometer monster tach w/shift light and RPM recall as well as Autometer oil and temp guage and over head switch panel for ignition, fuel pump, electric water pump and electric fans. Car still starts at the column like original after arming the ignition and fuel pump of course. The motor was built and installed after the chassis work was completed. The motor is a very very healthy 468 BBC. The block is a 4blt 454 G.M block .60 over with 11.1 forged pistons,Balanced steel crank,HD rods,Big Comp solid lifter camshaft,Cloyes dual roller timing set,G.M performance square port aluminum heads with stainless valves and gold series roller rockers,Team G intake with Holley 1050 Dominator carb, MSD billet distributor,MSD 6AL box and MSD 2 step system,Holley fuel system,Mini torq starter, electric water pump,MSD low mount alternator ect. The exhaust is Hooker ceramic coated super comp headers with 3inch exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. All tucked in nicely. Also has a aluminum Griffin 4 core radiator with dual electric fans and a HD tranny cooler system. The transmissionis a Hughs TH400 with transbrake, reverse shift pattern and manual valve body as well as a 3800 stall converter. Custom built and balanced driveline. The body is really solid with no rust! It was painted before the car was built into its current form but is nice and flat base/clear job with no orange peal. No dents or dings. Shines up really nice!! Only has one minor flaw on the drivers side fender. A small chip less then the size of a eraser head. All the glass and trim is in good condition as well. The vinyl top and trim are new. The car did not have one from the factory and did not have any rust or anything prior to installation (I have pics). I just liked the way that they look. Back in the beginning of the fastest street car shoot out days all those Camaro's and Chevelles had vinyl tops and I loved they way they looked. Ties in nicelywith the black stripes and black interior. The car is 100% metal! This car was built with the intentions of seeing more street use then track use. What else? The wheels are Weld Pro stars and have Hoosier D.O.T tires. They are 18.5 wide in the rear and 3.5 wide in the front. Tires have 95% front and 80% tread in the rear. The car is a beast yet still has street manners for being a hot rod. The car always holds great oil pressure(80lbs+cold) (65lbs+warm). The car never gets hot with the griffin radiator and HD dual electric fans as well as the high flow electric water pump. There was over $60k invested into the current build of this car. That does not include the purchase price of the car either. This car was built to keep not a typical eBay flip car you see all to often . I have another ride I want to finish so I am reluctantlyputting the 69 up for grabs. This car is a hit at all the car shows and you get thumbs up about every were except the whole foods market? lol! I have never had the car at the track but I was planning on it this next summer. Most cars of this caliber are for sale in the $45-$60k+ range. I have priced this car reasonably for the caliber of build it has. You could not duplicate the car car for what I want. The car has very low miles on the running gear and chassis. It is 100% street legal. Serious bidders and inquires only please.
