This truck has been a work in progress for me for several years. The entire engine and drive work that I had planned has been done. Work has been done by Barry White’s Speed Shop (Wrecks to Riches fame). and Josh over at Hot Rodz of Corona. So it runs fantastic and sounds like a beast going down the road (Heads actually turn when you drive it down the road). This was my dream truck. So why am I selling my dream truck? Just before my 60th. birthday I was laid off from my job of 15 years. So I have to sell it or lose my house (hate the house. love the truck. but my wife says it goes so it goes). Brief History: The 54 was the year for significant design changes for this model truck. It was the last Chevy truck to have full running boards and the first to get rid of the split wind shield (this windshield is a beautifully curved one-piece glass without that center vertical dividing strip). A revised steering wheel and dashboard was introduced with this model. and the cargo bed rails. previously angled. are now horizontal. Tail lights are round instead of rectangular and the front grille changed from five horizontal slats to crossbar design commonly referred to as a "bull nose" grille (similar to modern Dodge truck grille). And this one is all nice and chromed out. not painted. Engine is a 235 in straight-6 with three on the tree. I would say that this vehicle is about 85% original. Some speed work was done on it before I got it. but I chose not to reverse it. because the dual pipes sound so good. This is the 5 window truck you have been looking for. I have taken numerous high res photographs for this vehicle. Please look at them carefully before you bid. I am not an appraiser. only a person that loves this one particular truck. I would love to see this truck to go to someone that will truly appreciate it. and finish the job I started.
