For Sale or Trade - Bloomington Gold Survivor Original Unrestored 1954 Corvette!

Driven only 97 miles in the last 19 years and approximately503 miles since 1967!

This Original Corvette has been certified and documented at the Corvette event Bloomington gold. Certificates will come with the vehicleas well as many photos from the event. This Corvette has had only TWO OWNERS IN ITS LIFETIME. The Bloomington Judges checked it all out and side its one of the most original untouched 1954 Corvettes that they had ever judged. The car starts, runs and will set and idle, but we have only driven it 97 miles in 19 years. So she needs to be driven more. or possibly go into a Museum! We still have one of the original whitewall tires and believe the original fan belt is with the car (so the judges said, so we put it in the trunk). The cloth top is still on the car and looks good, we have only had it up once during judging, the original side curtains or side windows are also with the car as is the originalred bag. Spare tire compartment with original mat is still intact as well as the jack/handle. The Original Sticker is still in the convertible top compartment. There are still many original grease pencil marks placed under the car, from the factory, easily visible on the frame and tie rods still today. Even the factory marked Frame Stamp in red in very easy to see. The judgestook a lot of pictures of this car, I assume to help document other cars in the future. Only 58K miles, and an incredibly original Corvette.

We would like to Sell the 1954 corvette, but WILL CONSIDER TRADES - SO PLEASE SEND PICTURES OF WHAT YOU HAVE TO TRADE!! We have owned this car for about 20 years. The car runs, but seriously, its original, you will need to trailer it to its new home. At judging all gauges, lights, wipers worked, that’s part of what Bloomington is about. Everything had to work to get certified.

We purchased this Vette in Amarillo Texas, from its original owner in 2000. We are now the second owners of this Corvette. According to the mileage and the Shamrock oil change sticker just on the inside of the driver door, the car has only been driven 503 miles since 1967. In the last 19 years only 97 miles. My mother, Char, was at the right place at the right time. Aren’t mothers great! While in Texas at a meeting Char met an attorney. He realized that Char had an interest in Corvettes, so he told her that there was an old white Corvette in the estate that would be for sale soon and that the original owner was placed into a nursing home so the assets would be sold quickly to pay bills. As you can imagine, I’m sure Char’s heart beat quickened and her eyes probably glossed over with excitement of the thought of being the first to see the Corvette. Within a few minutes she and I were talking on the phone. I was frantically looking up the differences in early Corvettes and talking with the Corvette guys in Kansas, where I live. As you can imagine, we both agreed that Char needed to change her plans and talk the attorney into showing her the vehicle. Within a couple hours, Char pulled up behind an old cinder block building. As she peered through the old cracked glass window she saw a room full of old cars, and in the back she could see the iconic wired screened headlight on this 1954 Corvette. It was real! Once they were allowed access, she quickly found that the car was all there. After some new fuel and battery it even started. Wow what a find. After checking some numbers we needed to make a decision. Time to make an offer. Approximately two weeks went by and we heard the cars were selling. The attorney said that every time he was ready to talk about the Corvette, the original owner seemed to be too tired (she was 91 years old and did not want to let the Corvette go). Another week past and apparently it was the last car to sell, and yes our phone rang and she had accepted our offer. We wish we could have met Ginny before her passing, but it was just not in the cards. The Vette has been a proud member of our family for almost 20 years.

We were instructed by Corvette historian Nolan Adams (pictures included of he and I) and Bloomington Judges, that it is in the best interest of the sport, to never restore this vehicle, for documentationand historical reasons. We were told that this car will help define how future judging was done on 54 Corvettes and was invited to fill out the paper work to have it considered to be displayed in the National Corvette Museum (which we never did), maybe you can! Thank you 479-644-6993
