Up for sale is one of the if not the most well put together, low-milage, original exampleof a '58 Short Bed Fleetside Apache this side of the country.
A little history about the truck includes, was first built in the Lakewood Assembly Plantlocated in Atlanta, Georgia. The truck was owned and driven by the plant assembly manager.Who instead of putting the truck to work on a farm, was used as a commuter vehicle. After his passing the truck made it's way to Florida where it spend the next 10 years of its life.Until being moved to Arizona for the past year. I am the third owner of this beauty.
The truck has a documented by title original 51,*** miles with the odometer still counting every mile.
A complete "paint correction" which included compounding and polishing was done to make that original patina shine like a diamond!
Everything is original or to factory spec with maintenance including but not limited too
New Radiator installed about 3 years ago but still brand new and keeps the engine cool as an iceberg.
New mechanical fuel pump installed 2 months ago to factory spec.
Oil regularly changed based on a 4 month period.
Electrical maintained and all exterior lights and interior work.
Rochester Single Barrel Carb, rebuilt although let's be honest these carbs choked these poor engines so two barrel upgrade was considered but left be due to originality sake.
The bed is stripped of all bed wood and metal panels due to rotting out have neverreplaced them to due the idea of suspension upgrades that again didn't happen becauseof originality sake.
Interior is all complete with clean metal flooring and original bench seat which does show signs of aging with some tears (I believe two or three).
Truck runs amazing and is started on a regular basis and goes out to stretch it's legsfor a short ice cream run or saturday car show.
With Dino's Git Down coming very soon will you be taking this beauty to the show?
Or perhaps a wonderful speed shop would like to support suspension upgrades and givethe beast a new heart?
Maybe a nice restoration project for the weekends?
All of these options are made possible with this truck being one of the most solidpieces of metal I've had the pleasure of owning. Would love to say COMPLETELY rust free although a few smaller than dime size holes in the bottoms of the doors keep me from lying.. so let's saya solid 98%!
