Car description |
---|
1971 Chevelle Malibu that I bought from the original owner about 15-20 years ago. I put it in my garage until now. About 7 years ago, I put new exhaust and sway bar links on it, and then back in the garage. I have driven it less than 50 miles since I bought it. The convertible top was new when I bought it. There is a tear on both sides at the same location, probably from lack of use. The brake light is on in the car and the brakes will need work. One brake line was replaced, but more needs to be done. The car has heavy surface rust on frame and rust through as pictured. Car is all original except for a Hurst shifter the original owner put in the car. The original shifter was found in the trunk with the box from the Hurst shifter. I have the four original wheels and another rear bumper for the car that is in better shape than the one on the car that goes with. Please look at the pictures and ask questions. This car will need a lot of work. As is.

The original owner ordered the car with the 12-bolt rear and specified the 3-speed, as to save money on insurance when he bought the car new in '71. Not sure how many customers choose that combination, but I can assume it maybe a rare order.
The car has 40081 original miles.
The car was driven today. It was taken out of the garage for pictures. I have video of it going down the road, engine starting and top opening upon request.
The buyer must pick up car or arrange shipping. I will not pay shipping or any costs related after sale. Car can be picked up anytime after sale is complete.
Thanks for looking and let me know if you more information regards this classic convertible.
