For sale is my 1952 Chevrolet 2 Ton 5 window dump truck. This truck is the 6100 model with 16,000lb load capacity on a 137" wheel base. I bought this truck in 2014 with the intention of restoring it to be a shop truck. It ran and drove up until about a year ago when the gas tank rotted out and the driver side flex brake line broke. The truck currently does not drive so it will need to be towed from my house. The specs I have on the engine are as follows as I have had a few people ask about it.I believe the motor size is the 235C.I. 6 cylinder motor with the better compression ratio head of #3836848. These motors are the higher oil pressure engines than the previous versions. The Serial Number on the block is F0924JC and the engine is #3769716. I believe the motor is out of a 1958-1962 4000 series truck.
The truck is from a couple that lived in Largo Indiana and has it in there barn for the last 20+ years. I have a clean title for the truck and bill of sale, although many states do not require a title since the truck is over 25+ years old. The truck is a very solid truck and is essentially 100% complete, minus the gas tank which I removed and a few small things such as no driver side mirror and a few missing pieces of trim/molding. The glass is all intact and original to the truck. The lights and turn signals are all there and worked the last time I had the truck running. The dump bed was also working when I purchased the truck, but it was so rotted out that I removed it a few months ago. My intentions were to relocate the gas tank outside of the cab and in between the rear frame rails to where the hydraulic container for the dump cylinder. The truck has a giant inline 6 cylinder engine with manual transmission and a 2 speed rear end. The truck is a basic work truck for this era, but did come with a factory radio. The interior is all there except for the driver side door handle. This is a super heavy duty truck that has the capacity to be a 15,000+lb GVW!
This would be an awesome truck to fully restore, do a LS swap or a Duramax swap into, turn into a pizza truck, or lower and make a sick rat rod out of it, I just don't have the time to get that done.
If you have any questions please feel free to message me and I will be happy to answer any I can. Thanks
