This truck as been my daily driver for over a year and is extremely reliable, you could hop in it and drive across country today without worry.I did the swap a little over a year ago and have put 15k miles on it. The motor and transmission came out of a 2001 Yukon with 180k on it.Motor had all gaskets replaced at time of swap.Absolutely no leaks runs great, gets between 12-10mpg. Was able to get 17mpg on a road trip last month. Has the normal cold start piston slap. Oil pressure is 60psi cold, 35~40psi hot in gear running 5w30 synthetic. I was told the Transmission was only a year old when I pulled it and hasn’t given me any issues.
The truck is a factory A/C truck and other then the pump it’s all still there. All the accessories workThere is some surface rust in a few spots; cowl where the paint didn’t hold up, right fender had a spot by the door, and the left fender and door where a tent leg scratched it. But there is no rust in the cab or rockets and no cancer anywhere.
