1971 Corvette LT-1 Convertible #'s Matching 4spd Restored Wide Ovals Rare

Carolina Muscle Cars, Inc. is proud to be selling a very rare 1971 Corvette LT-1 Convertible. the born with numbers matching 350 LT-1 engine, and M-21 4-Speed transmission. This is one very rare LT-1 and one of only a handful built in this configuration.

The LT-1 engine was introduced in a Corvette in 1970 and was a $483 engine upgrade. The LT-1 engine consisted on a 4 bolt main block, forged crankshaft and rods, forged pistons, high flow heads, mechanical lifters, high lift camshaft, dual plane intake and a Holley carburetor. The LT-1 package made this special 350 scream. Only 1,949 LT-1's were built for 1971 and less then 10% reportedly were LT-1 Convertibles.

This very well equipped LT-1 Convertible was optioned with the CGZ code 350 LT-1 engine and backed with the 4-Speed transmission. The engine and transmission has the factory VIN stamp on both engine and transmission. Other options include Power Steering, 4 wheel power disc brakes, tinted glass, Astro-ventilation, Positraction rear, Am- Fm stereo, and original floor mats. The car retains the original trim tag denoting this car as a correct color code car as well. The trim tag denotes Classic White Exterior with Black interior. The color combination is very striking with the accenting LT-1 black hood stripes.

Restoration included all new paint on a no hit excellent body. The gaps and lines are excellent on this LT-1. The paint was a professional job. The interior is all new with new seats, carpets, door panels and dash pad. The car retains the correct coded glass in it. The engine was detailed and shows very well. The underside was also clean and tidy. All new components were replaced or restored as needed to ensure a quality ride. Turning the key will reveal the LT-1 engine was restored with all the correct components including the solid lifter camshaft. The 4 Speed shifts smoothly and clutch assembly was replaced and feels new. All lights and gauges work and original radio is still working. This is an excellent LT-1 to show or drive. This was would be an excellent candidate for a NCRS Award as this car is very original and correct LT-1.
