Classic cars are all about passion. and much to the surprise of casual on lookers. most car guys dont dream about building Ridler finalist cars or a prestigious Pebble Beach type of car. Instead theyre filled with impressive. well-built cruisers. which put modern power. and everyday drivability and top-notch road manners in about five times the curb appeal of your local showroom dealer cars. This awesome 57 Chevy was carefully crafted into a first-class head turner. Thanks to a proven 350 small block and a virtually indestructible driveline. its now the perfect build for some cross-country road trips this summer. If youre looking for a hot Tri-Five thats every bit as cool as some ground-up custom. then here is your car. This beautiful Bel Air is an amazing classic ride at an incredible price. Incredibly vintage and yet decidedly fresh. this slick Bel-Air is proof that Chevys decision to take an already popular fuselage. and decorate it with an ample amount of chrome was a fantastic idea. Unlike GMs exaggerated designs of the mid to late 50s and early 1960s. this cars proportions are right-on. theres the appropriate use of stainless and trim. and the sharp rear tail fins that would later grow into controversial wings are fully integrated into attractive. planar surfaces. Just by looking this car over we can tell this Bel Air was and very solid piece when its high quality restoration began. Nonetheless. its body was stripped down to bare metal and all body panels were re-worked and perfected in a thorough and complete rebuild process that included cleaning up the undercarriage as well. Under this incredible tri-fives gently rolled hood youll find a 350 V/8 cubic inch with a nice amount of street power! And although its a V/8 and may look small in the cars super tidy engine bay. you can be sure that it has no problem propelling this curvy 50s classic into speeds that will surely get the attention of the law if youre not careful. At the top of the orange V/8 block. a nicely chromed. Chevrolet branded. open-element air cleaner mixes fresh air with high octane dinosaurs that are put through a stock fuel pump. Below that chrome air cleaner. a coated Edelbrock carb jams that perfect air/fuel mixture into a 4-barrel intake manifold thats flanked by chrome Edelbrock valve covers. Behind those valve covers. a HEI distributor sequences spark between 12-volt Blaster coil and loomed Red High-Temp Accell plug wires. Cooling is provided by a new stock looking radiator thats equipped with black hoses. and factory correct cooling fan. Charging comes courtesy of a new Chrome alternator that keeps the powerful and new Optima battery all charged up. An aluminum power steering pulley spins next a new water pump. and high quality Classic Performance Products steering parts. The spent gases travels from a slick pair of stock exhaust manifolds into correct new 2. 5 exhaust pipes. Aesthetically. this sweet Chevys fully sorted engine bay is a stylish combination of glossy Brandy Wine color and black. Details. details. details like a fresh CPP Chrome brake booster and master finish off the engine bay. and lets you know youre in good hands when it comes to stopping this baby. During its restoration process. this Bel Airs original Glide Ride suspension was fully rebuilt with modern power steering and 2-inch drop springs at the front. Above that suspension. rust-free floor pans were. like most of todays best classics. clean and completely painted in GM satin black. Behind the stout small block. a Turbo 350 trans spins a factory posi-traction rear end. with 3. 55 gears. The braking is handled by a front set of modern discs that were a logical and easy retrofit. Exhaust rumbles through new. aluminized pipes that go through some Flowmaster mufflers. And power flows to the pavement via 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust IIs that lap 245/45 R17 BF Goodrich Radial Comp T/As around fresh chrome spokes. All of the cars lines. hoses. brackets and fasteners. which were completely replaced at the time of restoration. show little to no weathering. Everything from this Chevys oil pan to its new fuel tank is fully sorted and ready to hit the road!Featuring a stunning array of Burgundy and tan accents. this tri-fives custom-fitted two-tone interior is outstandingly clean. neat. and impressive. At the center of the car. detailed two-tone custom seats wear a striking combination of vinyl skin colors thats flanked by sturdy. modern seatbelts. On the doors. two-tone panels. which are a total custom build. hang chrome handles; stainless trim and simple armrests rest below glossy brandy wine colored toppers. At the floor. fresh burgundy carpet with custom made matching floor mats really ties everything together. On the roof. a clean and tight headliner stretches from the cars curved front window to its straight. burgundy package tray. At the front of the cockpit. a pristine dash hangs clear Classic Instruments gauges next to a modernized Wonder Bar radio. The driver is connected to the road by a glossy. 15 small-diameter steering wheel (Installed after these images) that spins a full chrome horn ring around a stock steering column. And the passengers carry their essentials via a fully custom restored trunk that anchors a full-size spare tire with a custom made tire cover that matches the rest of the interior adding class to an already classy ride. American classics like this awesome Bel Air are very special. and they represent incredible value to buyers. With its hot drivetrain. high quality restoration and custom color combination. this is the kind of build you simply couldnt build for our asking price. Just imagine yourself heading out in this old school classic on a warm summer evening; the smooth. open road as your canvas. and nothing between your mind and miles of happiness!VIN DECODE: VC57N110879V = V/8 Engine carC = SERIES 2400 Bel Air57 = yearN = built at Norwood Ohio Plant110879 = sequence build numberHIGHLIGHTS:350 cubic inch Chevrolet V82-inch dropped front springs15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust II wheelsBel Air Trim PackageTurbo 350 Automatic transPower steeringBrandy Wine Pearl paintPosi-traction rear-endPower.
