For sale here is a very nice restored 1939 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. This cool 30's pickup starts right up with the foot starter and runs and drives. The 3-speed manual on the floor transmission shifts well and the hand brake works. The standard original manual brakes work well also. The body of the truck is in excellent condition with shiny two-tone paint and re-chromed front and rear bumpers. The oak wood bed is also excellent and ready to haul boards etc back from the hardware store. The body is very smooth and there are no dents that I've found. The underside has been restored as well. The front grill is original. The tail gate works. The interior has been painted and the seat redone. The cab floors are very solid. All of the gauges work and are clear. The defrost blows softly and I do have the original heater box but it needs restored and installed. Windows work well and the driver's door lock works. Headlights work and so does the 1 red taillight. Remember: left arm up for right turn, left arm straight out for left turn, and left arm down for stop. The front windshield is a crank out but the crank gear is stripped but included. The tires are in good shape and ride well. I haven't driven this little truck out on the highway, just around town. The tires do have plenty of tread and look awesome with the very nice and correct hubcaps. One thing to check is the water pump which is starting to make noise. The 216 straight 6 cyl sounds very good. The following items are working: hand brake, horn, all gauges, defrost, choke, driver's door lock, windows, headlights, taillight. This is a very cool 1939 Chevy pickup that is in excellent shape and needs almost nothing. It starts right up and the ride is pretty decent for a 80 year-old truck. This is a very stylish art-deco look with the blue and black two-tone paint. You won't break any speed records, but who needs to when you're cruising slow around town in this cool pickup! Please feel free to ask questions. Sold in as-is condition. Inspection available.
