Relisted item:
This is a No Reserve Auction for a legit big block, 12 bolt rear end barn find from Texas, a rare factory 1969 Chevrolet Caprice(Impala) 427/390 hp Coupe.
The car does not run.....it is a rolling project that needs complete restoration. It would make a terrific 100 percent restoration, a resto mod or a air bagged low rider.
Key details:
Car has a 396 engine in place of the 427.....which was pulled long ago. The stock Turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt rear end are in the car.
The 396 is a factory 1969 block with matching heads. It turns by hand! Can post proof upon request.
It is a factory power front disk brake, air conditioning and power steering car.
Car has every detail in the engine bay for proof it is a stock 427/390 hp car. It has the correct 3/8 fuel line and 1/2 return line still mounted to the frame as it came from the factory. The big block front coil springs, engine stands, stabilizer bar and power steering set up are still mounted in place inside the engine bay.
The 427 emblems are the real deal.....installed at the factory.
All the exterior and interior trim is present and in good shape. Seats have head rests that operate perfectly.
Overall the car is solid. It will need new floor pans and trunk pan. Otherwise the only rust I have seen is at the bottom of the passenger side quarter panel and along the bottom of the rear of the sail section of the roof.....due to it being a factory vinyl roof car.
Big block radiator, radiator shroud, alternator and carb are in the trunk.
I wanted to restore the car but I have another that is taking up too much time and space for me to give this car the immediate attention that it deserves.
It's a legit factory 1969 427/390 hp Chevrolet!
I am available 24/7 to answer questions: Seven Zero 6, Five Zero 8, Nine Four Eight 3.
I have a bill of sale, no title.
