1961 Chevrolet Impala Unrestored

Car is fairly solid and original. This car is a project but it does run and drive. It would take some work to make a driver. There is a vibration somewhere in the drivetrain when driving. Maybe the rearend.As far as i can tell i think its mostly original paint. I put some black por paint on some areas. The right quarter had missing paint so i put black paint on that area. I also put por on following areas: over a rust hole under the vin tag on door jamb. I think the door weatherstrip rubbed the paint away causing it to rust. Also painted over a rust hole the size of a dime on left rear lower quarter behind tire. I believe this car was bumped in the rear as the trunk lid touches the right quarter. Car is fairly solid with original sheetmetal including original quarters. The floors are nice besides the left rear. It has four holes the size of pennies. I would just use por patch. It will not need a patch panel. The rest of the floors are just surface rust. Floors are strong and not soft. The trunk floor and body mounts are rust free. No rust in trunk weatherstrip channel. As seen in pictures, you can see minor rust on driver side rocker near the lead seam and also right in front of left rear tire. Clear texas title in my name. Original numbers matching engine. Does not smoke or knock. Runs good. 283 4 barrel powerglide. Power steering. Power brakes. The back seat is original and in great shape. The front seat was recovered. The bottoms of the door panels were recovered in vinyl. The carpet was replaced and is wrong. All original paint on dash. Dash pad cracked. Let me know if you need more pictures. The top does not work. It may need a switch. The top and back window are in nice shape.The horn does not work.The radio does not work.
