Here's a nice example of an original unmolested 1965 Corvair Monza 2 door Coupe, in storage for the last 22 years. I brought it out and mechanically got it running and drivable- new gas tank, sending unit, master cylinder, rear shocks, carbs from The Carbmeister, all tune-up parts from Clark's, whatever it needed. Interior not too bad, a corner split on the driver's side bucket. 110hp 4 spd. manual which shifts tight. Good brakes, new Master cylinder and riveted brake shoes. New exhaust all around, muffler and cross-over and manifold packings/studs. Great compression and really moves down the road! Needs O-rings as after driving and warming up smokes outside of wheel wells. Interior not too bad and is comfortable. Many new parts, too much to list so contact me for info. All original red paint with surface rust but would be cool for a cruise-in just as it is. Smaller rust-through at heels of both front fenders (see photo). Transmission does leak a bit. Clutch is fine. All lights work except back-up lights. Has the rare accessory clock in the dash. All the original wheel well trim is there even though it's banged up but adds to that 54 year-old original look. Brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's all around and included the original tires with 4 extra '65 hubcaps and a spare tire, all 9 rims are original 13" '65 Corvair. Not many original dinosaurs left like this, was planning on taking to a cruise-in where these are popular but getting too old. Not perfect but a very good foundation for a nice car. A good car for TLC. Title is clear Ohio and in my name. Mileage stated on title which says exceeds mechanical limits is 49,860 and with the miles I put on it 50,699 but judging by the condition of the car and how long it sat I'd say it's more like 50,699 with the seller putting that because sale price stated is $100.
