Description

For sale is my 1987 Monte Carlo SS.

The car was painted about 4 years ago (House of Kolors, Orion Silver, base/clear coat) and has a beautiful shine. There are no flaws other than a few tiny chips at the trunk opening (touched up) which are shown in the last two photos. When the car was painted the front fenders were replaced and a Goodmark steel cowl induction hood was installed with new hinges.

Absolutely no bubbles or other signs of rust anywhere. The floorboards and trunk floor are original and are solid. This was the last body on full frame car GM made and the frame is also solid.I just had the front fascia replaced with an OEM part because it was cracked. The body is straight, with no dings/dents, no sagging doorsand proper panel alignment. The doors, trunk lid and hood close easily. Power windows and looks work.

Although it is far from being original most improvements/updates are subtle and don't take away from its original 80s muscle car flair. Besides the hood and the wheels the car still looks original.
Just about everything except the transmission and rear axle is new:

350 GM Performance 4-bolt main crate engine, QuickFuel intake and 600 CFM carburetor, all new ignition, new evaporator, condenser, AC lines, aluminum radiator, dual shrouded electric fans, all coolant hoses. Shocks, brakes, dual 2.5" exhaust system with Dynomax Turbomufflers (not loud) and ceramic coated headers. March Performance serpentine belt drive with remote power steering reservoir and 140 AMP alternator. Small high torque starter, battery and cables. All new locks, new headlights, wipers, etc.Too many moresmallitems to list.

The interior is excellent with newer seat covers, new dash, Dakota Digital VHX gauges and an Alpine Bluetooth stereo.

All the glass is good. All weather stripping is new including for the T-tops which do not leak. The trunk is clean and again, no rust holes. The car was garaged most of its life and it definitely shows.

There are about 3000 miles on the listed items and I have all receipts. The odometer shows around 85750 miles.

I just had the front end aligned and the car drives and stops straight. I also just changed the engine oil/filter (Mobil1) and the differential fluid.Has flawless 17" Foose Knucklehead wheels with four matching 245/50-17 tires (also new). The transmission shifts perfectly and smooth (no shift kit). The AC blows cold.

If you want cruise control you have to buy a module from Dakota Digital which ties into the gauges (plug & play). I do not have a spare tire, lug wrench or jack.

The engine runs super smooth, is powerful and the exhaust has a nice deep rumble but is not loud. There are absolutely no leaks, smoke or strange noises. I would rate the car a 9 out of 10.

I have a clean/clear title in my name and the car comes with two sets of keys and the original owner's manual. I also have an inside car cover for it and the GM service/repair manual and the GM electrical manual for it, those items will be included.

I doubt that you'll find another G-Body in this condition anywhere for the price I am asking and its value will only go up. Right now, the agreed insurance replacement value is 18K.

The car needs nothing and you can have it inspected at your expense prior to the auction ending. If you require additional photos message me and I will send them to you.

You can drive the car anywhere or have it shipped (at your expense) and I will meet with the shipper at time of pick up.

All funds have to clear before the car or title is released, please keep that in mind if you pay with any type of check. There is a $ 300.00 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction end, the remainder prior to pick up or shipping. I will keep the car in my garage and covered until pick up.

Please make sure your finances are in order before placing your bid.

I am selling the car because we bought an RV and will spent our spare time traveling. Check my feedback on eBay, it speaks for itself.
