The C2 was built only for five years from 1963-1967 but are some of the most valuable Corvettes for collectors in the market today. This was the era of speed and style and the big three were in a battle of the ages to see who could produce the most radical cars and quite frankly change the auto industry and history forever. The C2 project started as far back as 1957, a full six years before production. In fact, the... C2 produced the first ever coupe for 1963 and remains one of the most recognizable and sought after cars today, the futuristic car featured a split rear window and in my opinion the best looking Corvette to date. This particular C2 has its place in history as well being the last production year for the C2. This car is real treat to offer as it has never been judged or shown or ripped apart. It has had a re-paint at some point in its life but not exactly sure how long ago as it still shows well but has some obvious blemishes due to age in spots. From what we can tell after having it on a lift is that the car does not appear to have ever been apart. The engine and transmission are matching numbers based on all the numbers we have deciphered from the VIN tag, data plate, title, engine stamp pad, rear end, transmission and carburetors. The interior is believed to be original with the exception of new carpet. The radio and clock are in working order as is everything else including the lights. This is the 400 HP version of the 427 and it starts and goes down the road as you would imagine. All three of the carburetors have the same number and everything looks correct. The consignor bought the car twenty years ago as you see it and has kept up with routine maintenance throughout the years. The bolt on wheels are not factory but are in good shape as are the tires and brakes. This thing demands attention wherever it goes and is ready for its new home.
