Car description

For sale is my 1978 Camaro. This car is not a real Z28, but is a tribute equipped with 1979 Z28 graphics, hood scoop, fender vents, and emblems. The suspension has been upgraded with Z28-spec sway bar, front and rear springs for the correct driving experience. This really does stiffen up the car and make for good handling. 4 wheel disc brakes give good stopping power.
The car has a very healthy 350 V8. 4 bolt main block, bored 0.030" oversize, new GM Performance Parts Vortec heads, hypereutectic flat top pistons, steel crank, Comp Cams XE268 camshaft, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, and Edelbrock carburetor. The car runs very well and pulls hard. Headers and a true dual exhaust with turbo mufflers give it a very nice sound with a noticeable lumpy idle.
Transmission is a TH350 automatic with a B&M Shift Kit. The rear end is a 10 bolt posi with 3.73 gears, 32 spline Moser axles, Yukon posi unit, easily up to the torque this 350 delivers (and more).
Wheels are original Z28 steel wheels with new reproduction trim rings, center caps, and lug nuts. Tires are brand new Cooper Cobras.
All suspension & steering components have been replaced with relatively few miles on them (body mounts, A-arm bushings, tie rods, ball joints, springs,.....). The car drives nice and tight, straight down the road.
I have owned this car for ~25 years, but the time has come to find a new home. It's a nice driver. Not a show car, there are scratches here and there, the interior shows some wear, but what a fun hot rod!
A PayPal deposit of $500 is required within 48 hrs of auction close. Balance due in cash or cashier's check at time of pick up. I will store the car for up to 30 days to allow you time to arrange shipment or to come pick it up.
