1971 CHEVY C-10 WITH 454 BIG BLOCK & 4-SPEED MANUAL RESTORED APPROXIMATELY 4-YEARS AGO & THE RESTORATION HAS HELD UP BEAUTIFULLY. 86k MILES ON TRUCK, BELIEVED TO ORIGINAL, AND UNDER 15K MILES ON 454 BIG BLOCK AS PER BUILD NOTES. THIS WAS A QUALITY BUILD ALL-AROUND. THIS TRUCK STARTS, IDLES, STEERS, AND STOPS GREAT. This 1971 Chevrolet C10 is a factory 4-speed long bed model that was restored approximately 4 years ago. The factory 350ci V8 was replaced with a 454 big block and a glass-out repaint in two-tone Hugger Orange and White was carried out. Much of the lighting and trim was also replaced along with the rear bumper. The interior was refreshed with new factory-style upholstery, a leather-rimmed CJ Grant steering wheel, and a modern stereo concealed in the glovebox. The truck is equipped with factory front disc brakes, steel wheels, hubcaps, and Kelly Safari ATR tires. The glass-out repaint in Hugger Orange and GM white, included primer, paint, and clear coat. A new tailgate, handle, and linkage were fitted along with new side molding and cab trim. The steel 15″ wheels are finished in black and wear factory hubcaps. The front Kelly Safari ATR tires are new and measure 235/75, and the rears are a matching size with newer date codes. The pickup bed has been coated with in black spray-in bedliner and a new fuel filler neck grommet. The rear bumper and hardware have been replaced, including the deflectors, brace kits, license plate panel filler, grommets, and hardware. The headlights, side markers, and indicator lights were also replaced. The interior was completely stripped and modern sound deadening, carpet, and a factory-style seat upholstery kit was installed. The interior door panels were replaced and fitted with new stainless steel hardware, window cranks, and interior door handles. Other new parts include the pedal pads, door sill plates, defroster outlets, dome light, and dome light wiring. A set of 3-point seat belts are installed. The dash fascia is painted black, and a new upper dash pad, steering column bearing, CJ Grant steering wheel, and chrome hub have been fitted. A new turn signal switch was installed, and secondary grounds were added throughout the lighting system.A modern stereo with Bluetooth, iPod, and USB compatibility is installed in the glove compartment, and a dual voice coil dash speaker is installed in the stock location. Aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauges are fitted, and a new speedometer ring gear and cable have been installed to correct the gauge readout for the new tire size and rear end gearing. The 454ci V8 was installed during the restoration. It is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with a low first gear. The radiator, thermostat, serpentine belt, battery, and alternator were recently replaced, and a pair of electric radiator fans were fitted and are wired to the ignition power. The exhaust system includes a set of Hooker headers and a custom rear-section with turndowns. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes, which were factory equipment on the C10 beginning in 1973. 2″ lowering springs are fitted at the front to help level the truck.
