Car description |
---|
This 1970 Chevelle Malibu was a garage find a few years back...was registered and inspected here in New York...and then put back into another garage where it has sat the whole time since purchased. Didn't even put 100 miles on it in the last 4 years. Just took it out to get it inspected each year.
Original intent was to V8 swap it and make it a clone. Fast forward and purchase another Chevelle already cloned. So this one just took a back seat and now needs another enthusiast.
If you like the traditional grandma grocery getter and church on Sundays, then you found it.
Super low miles at just about 52K.
3 speed on the column makes for interesting driving especially among the younger crowd that never experienced this old American technology. Grandma could drive it hands down, what about a Millennial or a Gen X'er?
Engine runs smooth and quiet and car drives flawlessly.
It is dry underneath and leak free. Tires are good but are bias belted, not radials.
No power steering and no power brakes. When I say base model, I mean base.
Interior is great. It's clean and comfortable. No broken or cracked glass.
Body has minor imperfections in the paint, some chips that were touched up with close colors, not exact matching touch up paint.
Chrome is excellent, no pitting. Front grille in terrific shape.
For restoration purposes, it would need a complete painting but mechanically it's already there.
Every time I get in it, it starts first time, never stalling.
Brakes are good. Trans shifts good because it has a good clutch.
Will end auction if car sells locally.
Must deposit $200 into paypal at auctions end and pickup car within the week.
This car will drive anywhere, even long distance.
