Only 5,200 miles since a high quality, body off the frame restoration to factory specs. This is a very highly sought after 365 horsepower car with #s numbers match colors, motor, trans and rear. Same owner since 1987, 32 years! He is a collector with several cars. It was very well cared for. I'm very impressed with it's condition. The fit, finish and function is great. EXTERIOR: This is the lowest production of all the colors in 1964. The name... saddle tan does it no justice. It's a classy metallic color. The body is fantastic. Restored over 30 years ago and there are no signs of damage or cracking. Everything fits really well, doors shut with a click. The paint has a clear coat finish that is polished smooth and glossy. Jambs are slick. Excellent weather strips and seals. All the chrome, stainless, emblems etc are really nice. The tan convertible top has no signs of wear, window is clear. Has knock off wheels and BFG radial tires. Headlights open and close real well. Has correct antenna. INTERIOR: Really nice inside too. I'm sitting in it, I can tell the cushions are new because the seats are firm. Upholstery fits tight. Beautiful dash. Gaugesare completely restored. Has only 5,205 miles on odometer, that's since full restoration. Has correct 6,500 redline tach for the high revving motor. The clock works. Has original Am-Fm radio. The glovebox door looks new, looks new inside and it even feels right opening and closing. Carpets front to back were replaced. Door panels are excellent. Has the correct seat belts. Looking up at the convertible top frame, it's all painted black. Really, it's very tidy and clean inside. There is one flaw, age crack below the radio. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has the legendary 365 horsepower 327 motor. In those days rarely did horsepower exceed the cubic inches. This motor had special heads, factory aluminum intake with a big Holley carb, high compression and the solid lifters allowed it to rev higher. It has deeper groove pulleys so the belts don't fly off. It looks completely correct. Has upper and lower ignition, aluminum finned valve covers, air cleaner and stock exhaust manifolds with heat tube going to the choke. Has correct fuel filter, spring clamp battery cables, correct hoses and clamps. The wiring is neatly wrapped. Has the rubber splash shields over the suspension. It is clean, painted and proper looking. UNDERSIDE: It was off the frame and completely restored. Recently cleaned and touched up. Mint floors are still raw fiberglass. The chassis is painted black. Has spare tire carrier. The Muncie 4-speed is vin # matched to the car. The original rear end has the proper codes. It's a 3.36 posi. Corvettes all had front and rear independent suspension. Bottom of the motor is clean, has original canister oil filter. I've been all around this car top to bottom, in and out. I've driven it. I am impressed with the entire car. It feels right. Doors click shut, seats are firm, shifts easy, clutch is smooth, takes off like a rocket. An investment that's ready for show and go!
