For sale: 1962 Corvette.
This is my parent's car and they asked me to list it here for sale.
They purchased this car years ago and have had lots of fun with it but due to recent health changes they decided to find it a good new home. They have done lots of upgrades and maintenance on the car to make it much easier to drive as well as insure its reliability. Some of the new parts included: clutch, power rack and pinion steering, new gas tank, new tires including the spare, new gears in the axle (from 3.08 to 3.55), new re-production radiator, a front end rebuild, and a bunch of other things to make this car easy to drive and VERY dependable. The car already had a great running 350 engine as well as front disc brakes and a dual brake master cylinder when they bought it. They spent a small fortune getting the factory bumpers and other parts re-chromed alone, as they were not planning to sell the car for a very long time. Please note that its not a 'numbers matching' car, and the car has been repainted at some point before they bought it, but in the time they have owned it they have had no problems with the car. Some of the original parts that they removed for the modern upgrades that my parents did will come with the car, as well as some new parts the bought for the car. We have almost no information about the cars history before they purchased it.
Car runs and drives fantastic, and is true sleeper, this car is fast. Currently registered and insured. Everything works as it should. VERY CLEAN and VERY well maintained. At true 'turn-key and drive' car. If you are looking for one of these to just drive and enjoy then this might be the car for you. Also good for those looking to do a all out resto-mod.
SBC 350 4bl, Edelbrock carb intake and aluminum heads, 4spd. P/S (aftermarket rack/pinon kit for easy driving) 3.55 ratio axle. Black convertible top, hard top included. The odometer reads just under 1400 miles, but we don't know exactly how many miles the car really has, or if the odometer has been rebuild or repaired. The engine is not original to the car, and the car has had work done so true miles is not that important. Aside from new headers to make room for the new steering, the engine is un-touched by them.
Buyer is FULLY responsible for shipping/shipping costs, and I will assist with the buyers shipper in every reasonable way. Also, I MIGHT be able to deliver the car to a VERY LIMITED area, DEPENDING on time and location, for a FEE. YES you can drive the car home, but sorry, not with our registration or insurance.
Some photos were taken at their home in FL a couple years ago, some were taken recently at their home in KY, the car is now in CT. Some photos were taken before some upgrades were done. Clean FL paperwork in my parents name. We prefer to have prospective buyers look at the car in person. Please message to set up a time to take a look.
If its not sold by then, we already have a spot for the Corvettes at Carlisle show (PA) in late August. We will also be listing the car on other sites so I might end this listing early.
