1966 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe, matching numbers car, (L79) 327/350 HP, 4 speed, Silver Pearl with rare silver interior, knock-off wheels and air conditioning. Paint and interior are in very nice condition. It's a very good looking car, plenty of power, runs and drives excellent, just get in and go.
The following work was completed within the past two years and was done to make the car safer and to improve the overall experience behind the wheel. These cars are now 50+ years old and most need lots of work. This represents thousands of dollars of work you won't have to do if you purchase this car. A large box of original parts that were removed from the car will be included with the sale.
Engine: Complete valve job with hardened seats, new lifters, timing chain, water pump, fuel pump, new Holley carburetor, installed new distributor with electronic ignition, replaced the complete exhaust system, installed exhaust heat shields near the transmission, upgraded to a 94 amp AC Delco alternator, replaced the complete engine compartment wiring harness, horn relay, ground straps, starter, battery, fan belts, radiator hoses, radiator supply tank and straps, thermostat and housing, PCV valve, temperature sending unit, added an in-line fuel filter near the gas tank.
Brakes: Upgraded to a dual master cylinder system, installed new metal brake lines front to back, installed new front calipers, pads and rubber brake lines, replaced rear rubber brake lines.
Interior: Installed a Vintage Air heating and cooling system. It works great, keeps the car really cool on those hot days and warm on those cold nights. Installed sound/heat insulation throughout the car, replaced all carpets and floor mats, installed a 3 point seat belt system, installed new door openers and vent window mechanisms, cleaned/lubed all window mechanisms, replaced ignition switch and door locks, new driver side mirror, added T3 headlight bulbs.
Drive Train/Suspension: Installed 4 new tires 205/75 R15, replaced the rear transverse leaf spring, installed new shock absorbers all around, installed a Hurst shifter and linkage, replaced the transmission rubber mount, drained and refilled the transmission fluid, drained and refilled the rear differential fluid, replaced the steering damping shock, new front stabilizer links, new front anti-sway bar bushings, new spare tire.
