Car description

Here is a nice little video going for a drivehttps://youtu.be/unEa1p7mkSg
This is truly a survivor truck. Most likely special ordered given the build sheet options. I have had several of these trucks over the years and this one is the most complete and original example.
The 327 is believed to have the 110,xxx miles showing on the odometer and runs flawlessly. Chevrolet normal puff of smoke upon starting but otherwise uses no oil. I have driven some 300 mile road trips and wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere.
while I am unable to find a partial VIN stamp on the engine thecasting code is 3914678 and theID stamp is V0429YV Both indicating a 1968 327 Truck engine
The Transmission ID is 395 C-T-68-38274 indicating a 1968 truck trans.no partial VIN is seen on trans.
Power Steering and factory Air were early special order option for these trucks
The radio works perfectly.
Has original cardboard covering gas tank. Has original jack and handle
Rare cable to hold engine in event the left motor mount breaks. Part of a smear campaign by Ford of the dangers of a solid linkage to the carburetor only installed on a couple model years
The A/C system has been changed to R134 and a new compressor was added.the A/C system functions and blows cool however there is some heat mixing in and needs a little work on one of the vacuum diverters

Refurbished about 5 years ago with all new suspension and brake parts. A power brake booster was added any this time. A new/used bed was sourced from Georgia. This is not a trailer queen but a well preserved great running and driving truck that turns heads and gets thumbs up everywhere it goes.
#189 is marked on a number of locations on this truck including on the firewall under the drivers side fender, On the air conditioning bracket and also on the side of the transmission. I believe this was the line number that was marked on the truck for the day or week that it was manufactured.

OTIS HILL Chevrolet Screw driver in glovebox. seems like the right vintage and a google search indicates Otis Hill started business in 1963. Its possible that this truck was sold by them when new in Leesburg, GA
This truck has most of its original items listed on the build sheet except the side molding trim and the "California" tow mirrors it is also missing the cigarette lighter.
There are a couple small areas where there is a small bit of rust showing thru the paint.the transmission is leaking a small amountThe seat is torn on the drivers side
feel free to contact with any questions. I will be happy to forward my phone number should you like to talk in person. can also send video of the truck runninghttps://youtu.be/qZHu1n-Bslg
