MANUAL STEERING, MANUAL BRAKES, NO A/C, STEEL WHEELS W/ STANDARD HUBCAPS. IT DOES HAVE A CONSOLE AND AM RADIO.I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN2013 ON EBAY. ALL #S MATCHING. I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME.CAR HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD SINCE 1984 AND ONLY HAS 100,715 ORIGINAL MILES.
I AM SELLING THIS CAR AND SOON SOME OTHER CARS ( 1969 PONTIAC CUSTOM S CONVERTIBLE PROJECT) ( 1969 PONTIAC CUSTOM S HARDTOP PARTS CAR ) TO HELP START MY OWN RESTORATION SHOP. I GRADUATED FROM MCPHERSON COLLEGE IN KANSAS WITH A DEGREE IN AUTO RESTORATION TECHNOLOGY WAY BACK IN 2005. BY THE WAY, I WAS 34 WHEN I GOT MY DEGREE. I WORKED FOR3 DIFFERENT RESTORATION AND HOT ROD SHOPS FROM 2005 TO 2007. I'VE BEEN WORKING AS A MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SINCE 2007 AND I HOPE TO HAVE MY FIRST FULL BODY OFF RESTORATION FINISHEDBY SPRING OF 2020. I PLAN TO RACE THE CAR IN THE F.A.S.T. RACING SERIES. HOPING TO GET INTO THE 10s. THE CAR IS A 1968 PONTIAC GTO RAM AIR 2, TURBO 400, 4.33 REAR. I ALSO HAVE MY 1968 BUICK GS 400 4 SPEED THAT IS NEXT ON THE LIST. THAT CAR WILL BE FINISHED AFTER THE GTO. I PLAN ON CHARGING $45.00 PER HOUR SHOP RATE, MUCH LOWER THAN OTHER SHOPS. I THINK ITS A FAIR RATE FORSOMEONE JUST STARTING OUT. IF YOU HAVE A1955 - 1974 GM PERFORMANCE CAR OR MUSCLE CAR AND ARE INTERESTED IN ME RESTORING IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND MAYBE I WILL BE RESTORING YOUR GM MUSCLE CAR. IF THE WINNING BIDDER IS INTERESTED IN ME RESTORING THIS CHEVELLE THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I HAD THE CAR FOR 6 YEARS AND HAD HOPES OF RESTORING IT. THE CHEVELLE WOULD NEED BETWEEN 1000 AND 1200 HOURS OF LABOR. IT NEEDS A GOOD AMOUNT OF METAL WORK, BUT VERY FEW OPTIONS TO RESTORE.

THE PASSENGER SIDE IN A NOS LENSI BOUGHT ON EBAY.EMPTY BOX IS IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. THE HOOD HAS SURFACE RUST AND ATWO SMALL DENTS. GRILLE EMBLEM IS A REPOP FROM GROUND UP. THE CAR ALSO HAS 4 ORIGINAL T-3 HEADLAMPS.

THIS SHOWS THE ORIGINAL UNRESTORED REAR BUMPER, TAIL PANEL, DECK LID, TAILLAMP BEZELS, AND LENSES. THE BEZELS HAVE PITTING AND THE LENSES ARE NICE WITH NO VISIBLE CRACKS. I JUST REPLACED THE FILLER PANEL TO INSTALL THE REAR GLASS. FUEL DOOR IS A VERY NICE CORRECT REPLACEMENT I FOUND ON EBAY. ORIGINAL WAS VERY RUSTED. SS 396 EMBLEM IS A REPOP FROM GROUND UP. THE DUAL EXHAUST IS AUSED MANDREL BENT 2 1/2 IN.STAINLESS STEEL PYPES SYSTEM I HAD ON A 69 PONTIAC FOR ABOUT7 YEARS.DYNOMAX ULTRAFLOW STAINLESS STEEL MUFFLERS. HEAD PIPES ARE NEW. FUEL TANK IS ORIGINAL AND OF COURSE, SHOULD BE REPLACED.

THIS SHOWS THE ORIGINAL RUSTED AND DENTED FENDER. THE DOOR AND QUARTER PANEL WERE REPLACED IN 1978. THEY CAME FROM A DIFFERENT '68 CHEVELLE. DOOR LOOKS VERY GOOD WITH NO ROT. QUARTER IS VERY BAD AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. QUARTER PANEL MOULDING IS MISSING. IT'S THE ONLY MISSING PIECE OF TRIM. ROCKER PANEL LOOKS GOOD. RIMS ARE CORRECT CODE 6 WHEELS. EVEN THE SPARE. TIRES ARE 205 70 14 IN THE FRONT AND LOOK LIKE NEW. DRIVER'S REAR IS A 215 70 14 I HAD AS A SPARE IN THE TRUNK OF MY '69 PONTIAC. 13 - 15 YEARS OLD BUT ALMOST NO MILES ON IT. HUBCAPS ARE VERY NICE ORIGINALS I BOUGHT ON EBAY.

THIS SHOWS HOW THEY INSTALLED THE QUARTER PANEL IN 1978. AMAZING JOB RIGHT. KIDDING. BUT THEY DID LEAVE THE ORIGINAL QUARTER PANEL SEEM AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. NEEDS A FULL QUARTER PANEL INSTALLED. I INSTALLED THE FILLER PANEL, BUT NOT WELDED COMPLETELY BECAUSE YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE IT TO INSTALL THE QUARTER PANEL.

PASSENGER SIDE NEEDS A FRONT FENDER. DOOR NEEDS PATCHWORK ON THE BOTTOM CORNERS. AND I WOULD REPLACE THE FULL QUARTER PANEL AS WELL. THE QUARTER PANEL MOLDING IS INCLUDED, JUST NOT INSTALLED. RIMS ARE CORRECT CODE 6 WHEELS. EVEN THE SPARE. TIRES ARE 205 70 14 IN THE FRONT AND LOOK LIKE NEW. PASSENGER REAR IS A195 70 14 OFF ONE OF MY PARTS CARS. BEST I HAD, IT HOLDS AIR, BUT A BIT WORN. NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BEFORE CAR IS DRIVEN. AND YES CAR RUNS, BUT THINGS NEED TO BE GONE OVER BEFORE IT IS DRIVEN LONG DISTANCE.

I HAD THE HEADS OFF AND THE BORES LOOK GREAT, NO RIDGE. ALL OUTSIDE ENGINE PARTSARE ORIGINAL. ORIGINAL ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP ARE MAKING BEARING NOISES. STARTER IS A REPLACEMENT AND THE DISTRIBUTOR IS A PERTRONIX IGNITOR III. REPLACEMENT ORIGINAL INCLUDED. I ALSO INSTALLED ANEW CAM, LIFTERS, ROLLER TIMING CHAIN, PUSHRODS AND ROLLER ROCKERS IN 2016. EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE ORIGINAL AND PAINTED WITH A HIGH TEMP PAINT. BATTERY IS NEW. CABLES ARE REPOP SPRING-RING FROM GROUND UP. BATTERY TRAY IS A NICE RUST FREE ONE I BOUGHT ON EBAY. ORIGINAL WAS RUSTED OUT, AS MANY ARE. TRANSMISSION IS ALSO THE ORIGINAL M-214 SPEED AND IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. REAR IS THE ORIGINAL 12 BOLT POSI WITH 3.55 GEARS. BRAKE SHOES ARE NEW AND I REPLACED THE SHOCKS.
