1955 Chevrolet Nomad Bel Air Coupe Original Owner RARECorvette 327 Engine 350HP
Up for sale is this ultra rare Nomad. My Grandfather bought the car, passed it on to my Father and then on to me. The car does not have the original engine, transition or front seats. In1965-66 we replaced the engine with a 327 Corvette engine 350 hp and a 4 bolt main that holds the crank shaft, I've been told it's a great racing motor. The floor boards appear to be in good shape. The body cross member to the chassis has a good amount of rust and thetrunk has rusted out a bit but the trunk frame itself is solid. The car has been outside for 5-6 yrs but wrapped and covered. I'm not a car expert but I've been told many times it's a very rare care car. The engine was fired up about 5 -6 years ago and ran fine but you'll definitely need to flat bed to pick it up. The Nomad is currently being stored at a family members house so if you need additional pictures it will take some time. I do have the original key, the spare tire rim and the original tow bar which was a high end accessories in the 1950's. Un fortunately I have not been able to locate the title but when I do I will pass it on. Please have a look and let me know if you have any questions.
