Here is a great project car, that would make a great driver quality car. It is a 1965 Chevrolet Impala, and it has a 283 V8 in it with a 2 speed powerglide. This car for the most part has been in storage for probably 25 years. It has been started and maybe drove around a little bit, but always ended back up in the pole barn. It has a good Indiana title. I got the car. I put a master cylinder on it and got the brakes working again. I bought new, points, condenser, plugs, wires, cap and rotor still in the sacks from the auto store. I have not put them on yet and they are included. I did not want to take a chance of pumping any old gas into the carb so I just ran a rubber hose from the carb to a jug I zip tied under the hood. I would suggest making sure the fuel tank is empty and clean before running from the tank. I put a used battery in the car and it fired right up. Engine sounds good, and exhaust sounds real good on the car. Car needs tuned up, and I would suggest rebuilding the carb. It is the factory dual jet Rochester carb. Car was painted mid 80's and it looks decent. You can see the car has some body feeler in it. The side of the car is a little wavy. I checked the frame out real good and found 2 small places one on each side of the frame in front of the rear wheels. Biggest place I took a pic. It is about the size of a pinky fingernail. Seats need redone. Drivers side bench is about flatend out of cushion material. Door panels and seats are copper color that I don't think looks good. Carpet is original and in poor condition. Seat belts are in the trunk and they look like they need restored. Rear floor pans look rusty but I don't see any holes in them. By the seat belt bolts on the edge of the bench seat I seen a few holes. The trunk floor has been patched in a couple of places and then the whole trunk was sprayed with that factory looking freckle paint. Car still has bias ply tires that are junk, and all cracked out. Car has power steering. Dash looks original and original paint. Engine is dirty and oily engine and it needs cleaned up. Passenger side door handle does not open the door from the outside. This has the original owners manuals and booklet for the power top. I pushed the button for the power top, but did not hear or see anything happening or making noise at all. So my guess the power top is not working, or not getting power to it. This would make a great project car while you can drive it and work on it as you get time. I am storing this in the pole building here. Indoor storage is a problem, so I will leave it in the building for 2 weeks after the end of the auction. And after that it is going outside and I will tarp it up. I don't think the top leaks, but I hate to leave it outside, uncovered. This is a business address on a state highway.
