1940 Chevrolet Tudor Sedan
This car is a great foundation for your next project - streetrod, rat rod, or restoration - and it runs and drives! It is my intent to describe this vehicle in as great detail as possible, but I encourage all interested parties to look thoroughly at the multiple pictures I have included with the listing and feel welcome to reach out to me via eBay message board with any questions you have. The car also comes with a clear Montana title in my name as well as a notarized Bill of Sale and company invoice from Montana Vintage Tin, LLC.
Engine/Transmission/Drive-train: The engine is the original 216cid engine with all the parts and pieces there under the hood. We got it running and driving around our holding yard and it idles nicely. The transmission is the original 3spd on the column and it shifts in and out of gear, through the gears, and forward to reverse. The clutch is serviceable for the type of driving we’ve done around the holding yard. The rear end also seems in good condition.
Body/Sheet Metal: The body and sheet metal are in good condition and, overall, very solid and rust-free. While Montana is a state of four seasons, we are a dry climate with very low relative humidity and the state does not use salt on its winter roadways. That having been said, this car is free from the corrosive, cancerous rust common to other parts of the country. The frame/chassis is solid and the integrity has not been compromised. There are minor dents/dings, and other areas in need of minor repair (please see all the pictures attached). The body is complete.
Interior: The interior of the car is very complete, but is in need of total restoration. You will notice in the pictures how complete the dash is and is in nice condition. All the seats, seat components, and door panels are included although, again, are in need of total restoration. The floors of the passenger compartment and the trunk area are in very good condition.
Once again, please take time to look at all the photos included with this listing and ask all the questions you need to about the car’s condition. This vehicle has a clear Montana title and a notarized Bill of Sale will be issued along with a company invoice from Montana Vintage Tin, LLC. This vehicle is being sold in “as-is/where-is” condition. No warranty/guarantee - written or implied - exists with this vehicle. A non refundable deposit in the amount of $515.00 ($500.00 deposit + $15.00 electronic convenience fee) is due at the time of sale close. Payment in full must be received within 7 business days of sale close. Payment in full must be received before vehicle will be released for transport. Vehicle must be removed for transport within 30days of sale close unless prior arrangements are made. Transportation of the vehicle is the responsibility of the buyer, although I can put you in contact with a transportation broker that a number of my customers have used successfully. We accept payment in the form of cash if you are picking the vehicle in person, Certified Bank Check, PayPal, and all major credit cards. A 4% electronic convenience fee will be assessed to any portion of the transaction that takes place electronically (e.g. PayPal, Credit Card, etc.).
