Car description |
---|
This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is equipped with a numbers-matching 327ci V8 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and finished in red over a red vinyl interior with a black soft top and matching hardtop. The car had a refurbishment from 2007-2009 and has been driven 3,200 miles since its completion. This C1 Corvette has a clean Florida title in my name.
The original build sheet indicates the car was finished in code 923 Solid Red. The current paintwork includes color-matched fender coves.
Exterior trim includes front and rear chrome bumperettes, rocker panel covers, and faux-knockoff hubcaps. A fabric top and color-matched hardtop are both included.
Factory instrumentation has been retained along with an analog clock and Wonderbar AM radio. The odometer was rolled back at the time of the rebuild and now indicates 3,200 miles.
The 327ci V8 was reportedly fitted with a positive crankcase ventilation system from the factory. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, which routes power to a Positraction rear end. Ancillary components were restored or replaced with new old stock items as needed. Two sets of rocker covers are included in the sale.
