#s match, frame off restored to factory specs. EXTERIOR: It is actually refinished better than it would have left the factory. The body looks pristine, it's straight and fits really nice. Factory code 923 Roman red, the paint is polished like glass. It has a mirror reflection right down to the bottom of the body. All of the chrome and trim has been or restored to show quality- bumpers, tail lights, rear medallion, correct antenna, door handles, mirrors, windshield trim,... fender spears, grill etc. It has four original T-3 headlights. The tires are reproduction Firestones, the rims are painted black and has correct spinner hubcaps in excellent shape. The windshield and gasket was replaced. The door jambs are painted, weather strips and sill plates were replaced. It does have a white convertible top in excellent condition. The frame was restored, all new weather strips. INTERIOR: So now I'm sitting in the car and it's also completely restored. The instruments, dash pad, of course the carpets, upholstery and door panels are all replaced. It has correct 6,500 redline tachometer for a fuelie, all the gauges work. It also has carpeted floor mats, new shifter plate, correct reverse lockout shifter with white ball. The heater works, has wonderbar radio and seat belts. There are a few cracks in the steering wheel. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Numbers match and it's detailed to factory specs. Very correct- vin # match motor with correct casting and date codes. The heads, distributor, fuelie unit are all correctly numbered. All of the components are clean, proper and have correct finishes. I guess I never really thought of the solid axle Vettes as muscle cars, I was wrong. This 327 is putting out 360 hp!. That's more hp then cubic inches. Everything about this motor is muscle- fuel injected, solid lift performance cam, better heads etc. It even sounds tough, the idle is music to a gear head. This one is running flawlessly, it will sink you into the seat! There is something you don't see too often- it has the jacking hardware in place. The board over the tire is bolted down and has jacking instructions. Under that it does have a matching reproduction tire. It has red rubber mat, red divider, new weatherstrip, latches are detailed. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jambs are painted real nice. UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame for restoration. They duplicated the factory finishes, assembly line paint markings and even the stencil on the frame. The floors are raw fiberglass with red overspray from the body. At the time of restoration the front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt, new brakes and lines, correct dual exhaust system, the shocks are even the correct spirals. The hardware, e-brake assembly, shift linkage, axle straps, starter all look great. The bottom of the motor is still spotless, has correct oil filter canister. The T-10 4-speed is correctly dated: 6-25-62. Rear end is BM 03 30, a 3.36 posi. This car was restored about 13 years ago to factory concourse condition. It has been very well cared for and enjoyed by a collector. It actually has about 7,700 miles since restored. This is an investment that is in show shape and ready to drive. It's not just a trailer queen, it functions really well. It would be exhilarating to drive this classic!
