Car description |
---|
I saved this Impala from a salvage yard that was crushing all of its remaining inventory.
First things first - There is No Title, therefore I am selling this as a parts car only.
I will try to be as descriptive as I can in order to give an accurate picture of this SS car.
From the information that I have researched from the cowl data plate, this is a TRUE '66 Impala SS. It was equipped with a 327 (currently NO Engine), 2sp Powerglide Tranny (Still in the car), bucket seats (gone), factory AC, console. It was originally Marina Blue with a bright Blue interior. The grill appears to be good with just a few small dings. The front bumper is real good. The hood is good, but does have a small dent at the front edge. The hood hinges are in the trunk. The left front fender has about a soft ball sized rust hole, and the passenger fender has minor rust. Both doors appear to be pretty solid with minor rust. I have not been able to get either door open. The driver's window is gone. The driver's side quarter panel has some rust around the wheel well, but not too bad. The passenger quarter has a large rust hole just behind the door. The trunk lid looks ok, but does not have a lock. It is easy to open though. The rear bumper has a bend to it, but I believe that it could be straightened out. The taillights are good. The trunk lip/edge is pretty rusted out.
The metal dash insert is in the trunk, as is the console and several pieces of exterior trim. The chrome horn ring is in the trunk. As mentioned before, the bucket seats are gone. The gauge cluster is also gone. The floorboards do not appear to be rusted out, but do have some rust holes that will need to be patched. The windshield is broken. This Impala SS was built in Norwood, OH during the 4th week of October, 1965.
Please feel free to ask any questions, and please do ask your questions before bidding.
This will be for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. I will not be able to deliver. The winning bidder will have 20 days after the auction has ended to pickup the car. Unless prior arrangements have been made with me, after the 20 days storage fees will have to be assessed against the car. I hate to do that, but too many times I have had people leave cars and trucks for months at a time.
PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS - 50% MUST BE PAID THROUGH PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION ENDING. THE BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN CASH ONLY WITHIN 20 DAYS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
