Car description |
---|
It has a very solid, rust free body with beautiful patina. The only rust is very minor and confined to a small area of the passengers side floorboard as can be seen in the photos. The cab corners, doors and fenders are remarkably solid with no signs of rust. What is incredible about this truck is the lack of dents. This is very unusual on an un-restored farm truck of this age, usually the fenders are very beat up. This truck hasn't even suffered the severe lower A pillar and firewall rust that these Advance Design GM trucks are prone to. The bed sits a little low at the front due to the bed floor wood being mostly rotten, most noticeable on the passengers side. This would be rectified with new bed floor wood or by simply wedging a 2x4 between the front of the bed and frame temporarily. Overall this is really a remarkably solid all original truck with a gorgeous look to it.
The interior is complete but will require the usual work of re-upholstering the seat and other minor details. All gauges work except for the speedometer. It has what looks to be a factory radio. Overall it is very presentable for an all original truck of this era.
Mechanically this truck needs very little. It starts and runs good. Please view the videos below of it being started and driven. The gas tank has been removed, cleaned and re-installed. It has fresh fluids and new ignition components. A new 6 volt battery. It shifts good through all gears with a smooth clutch that bites nice and low. It has a 4 speed manual transmission with a granny low. The brakes still need work though. The key is missing so a switch has been temporarily wired in for the coil. Overall very little mechanical restoration is required.
This will make a great project being such a rare and solid truck that's almost ready to drive on the road. It has been incredibly well preserved for its age. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder.

We are two brothers who seek out original trucks and cars from all across Canada, specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
Most American barn finds have long since been found and tampered with by multiple owners; North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good, solid, original vehicles, waiting to be brought back to life.
We make thesevehicles available to the US market by taking care of importation and providing all paperwork required to obtain a ClearUS Title, in your name and home State.
We are passionate about finding the best there is and understand that our customers wantto see automobiles that have not been tampered with; The more original, the better.
Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.
The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project or the bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers are here to help.
