Car description |

This is a 1955 1st series 5 window deluxe cab pickup truck (with parts truck) and clear title, no motor. This is a very rare original two-tone green/blue & white pickup, These are Arizona trucks and there is no rust-out in the floors or cowl panels. Only a very small spot of rust on the drivers side cab corner of the main truck, no rust on the other cab corners, including the parts truck. This truck still has the original green steering wheel, original chrome and green painted horn cap, original green door frames, original seat upholstery for pattern, one original green arm rest and original green inside door window trim. Even has the orig green free floating headliner bar, as well as the screw-in ones. Glass appears to be all original, the only broke one is the passenger side door. Still has original floor mat and correct brown door panels, however need replacing. Still has remnants of green paint on the bed rails and bedwood, actually the parts truck does too and originally the parts truck was also this same color. On the main truck, the only thing that appears to have ever been painted is the firewall and the left rear fender was replaced. This truck even had the original green rubber cab windlace, which is still available. It has the original green running boards and deluxe door window stainless. It has a very nice grille, only needs work on the nose and one bar. Even the bed sides are in nice condition on both trucks and are rare because of the stamping and only made in 1954 and 3 months of 1955. It has an orignal front and rear bumper and brackets.
There is no engine in the main truck. The parts truck has the 6 cylinder engine (block #3769716), but it has been sitting open and no head for it. The parts truck also has an original hydramatic transmission and floor cover, even the orig hydramatic steering column. Both trucks have the original 1955 1st series open drive rear end. The parts truck has the title and ID plate, which can easily be moved to the other truck, as there are no frame or engine numbers on these year trucks. There is a pretty good 5 window cab on the parts truck, a some body work needs to be done on the drivers & passenger side cowl panels and also the roof on the passenger side, but no rust I could find anywhere on this cab, other than surface rust. The original drive shaft is in and connected to the hydramatiic trans. This parts truck also features a drivers rear fender with the cut-out for a side mount spare tire, a nice passenger front fender and pretty good running boards and straight original bed sides and a very nice dash with no cut-outs or extra holes.
I have had both of these trucks for 30 years and have the title in my name. I don't think you could find a nicer truck to restore or leave as original, just add a motor. This two tone version is very rare, almost impossible to find, which is the reason I have had it so many years. Always plan to restore it but just don't have the time to get to it.
Any questions, please email. I tried to get as many photos as I could and that Ebay would allow.
