Car description

*This not a frame off, but an older restoration that was decent, but not great. Some of the body work and paint prep was not the best and reveals itself in the drip rails, rear window molding area as well as some body work on the trunk and rear end. I'm not a body and fender person but just wanted a 38 to drive so she is not perfect but still good looking. She turns heads wherever she goes. You would not be embarrassed driving her, but she is a 1938 so she does have some bumps, chips, and mediocre body work as well as some rust in typical places(bottom of door, trunk tool tray) for a steel car of 81 years old. She appears to have had some body work done on the rear body(paint cracking, bonds chip near bumper brace), and passenger side fender. The prior owner was an elderly man who could no longer drive her so she was sold to me. She runs pretty well as i driver her around town, but she does tend to run warm. I never flushed the radiator or the block or anything like that, the coolant looks clean but the radiator might need a good flushing. The vin number(3HA01) indicates she is a Master Deluxe, but she does have an axle and leaf springs in front. I don't like the way the front end feels so i purchased a tube shock kit to replace the existing shocks, but never installed(included with car). A gent from VCCA Vintage Chevrolets Club of America said it was not uncommon for folks replace the shocks with an axel and springs as they are lower maintenance. The brakes are good, but the parking brake mechanism was removed from the hubs but included amongst the spare parts. I purchased a NOS set of parking brake cables but never installed(included with car). I did install lowering blocks in the rear to make her look longer and sleek, but still have the original u bolts to reinstall. Ive added small things like GM gas cap, art deco linens plate frames, seat belts for the front(uninstalled rears included), headlight indicators(so you know if your lights are on), side view mirrors, grille guard, beauty rings, repop peep mirror. The radio in the dash is for appearances, but i do have a 37 tuner matched to the radio with cables if interested. The interior is in very nice condition as well as floor carpets, the dome light does not work, but i did see it flicker on and off but not worth my energy. The heater turns, but needs to be removed and cleaned up as the fan is dragging. She does leak fluid from the tranny if she is at a steep angle( I was told there is a check ball that gets stuck allowing fluid to leak, but I just checked the tranny fluids as well as all others regularly, she is a 1938. I tried to clean the undercarriage some but a low budget job at best. I hung the exhaust using napa auto parts hangars, they seem fine. The gas tank was replaced with a plastic tank that holds a few gallons more than the original. When the car was shipped to me, the seller place a spare gear box in the trunk which bounced around putting a dent in the body from the inside out and a dent in the trunk as it pounded for miles the car carrier. Ive tried to include anything i can think of, oh, I was in the process of rewiring one at a time and didnt know you can desolder the headlight contact from the old brittle wire and reinstall the on the new wire so their is a funky connection for the headlight that will need to be reinstalled( I will include the wire I purchased also from Rhode Island Wiring. I tried to load more pics, but no option to add. Feel free to ask any questions and i will do my best to answer.Thank you for looking
