Car description |
---|
Up for auction is our 65 Corvette 327 Roadster. This car is a very correct and original car throughout. Having been a NCRS member since 1980 and judging mid-year Corvettes for many events, we have a real appreciation for correct Corvettes.
This car retains its original trim tag and decodes as a true UU code, Rally Red car. The hard top is original to the car and beautifully restored in and out. The soft top is an older Robbins top that is in very nice condition. The combination Rally Red with black interior/ black top with red line tires is very striking.
All the numbers on this car are also correct. The engine is the original HF suffix 300 hp 327. The stamp pad is untouched and has never tampered with (all correct numbers in place with the vin#). The 4-speed transmission is also the original with the cars VIN correctly stamped onto the side case. Rear differential is correctly dated to the car and is believed to be the original. It's rare to find a car where the entire drive train is correct and original to that car, but in this case its all original and numbers matching. The Colorado title shows 74,900 actual miles. Looking throughout the entire car, it truly appears a low mileage car.
The exterior of this car is beautiful. The body/paint work on this car are high quality and all the body panels are original with the bonding strips. The paint is base/clear and is highly polished to a mirror finish. All the chrome has been professionally re-chromed and is better than new. Stainless, emblems and other brightwork is in nice condition. All the glass in this car is dated original which again, goes with a low mileage car. The hubcaps are nice originals and the wheels have new BFGoodrich Silvertown Redline tires.
The interior is also in beautiful condition. The dash is very original and in spectacular condition. The gauges are crisp and in good working condition along with the original clock, radio and horn. The seats, door panels and carpet are all in great condition and are the originals. The driver's seat and drivers door panel does show some lite wear. Overall, the interior is very impressive considering it is 53 years old. The steering wheel does have one small split towards the bottom but is the original.
Under the hood is nicely detailed and has a very correct and original look. The undercarriage is also clean and not rusty anywhere. This car is a western car and has never been subject to a corrosive climate. All four brake calipers have recently been replaced. The exhaust system from the manifolds back is in good condition with correct looking and sounding mufflers with stainless tips. The engine bay and undercarriage are very presentable and nice, but not too nice to drive and enjoy.
The engine/transmission have been rebuilt and resealed for reliability therefore, there are no leaks and it runs great.
I would rate this Corvette as a super nice driver that will hold its value very well. Its all numbers matching, a desirable color combination, low mileage and very original. This car is ready to enjoy. Take to the show or on a Sunday cruise. I have been a ebay member since 2000 with 100% feedback, so please bid with confidence. Clean and clear Colorado title that is ready to transfer ownership. Please call 303 475-4544 for more information.
