Here is a Chevy Bel Air I rescued last year after 25+ years of storage. It starts right up and purrs like a kitten. The car is pretty much all original with the exception of the repairs made to it in the past year. The only rust is surface rust as shown in the pictures. The rockers are solid. The gas tank has been removed and cleaned and the fuel line blown clear. The original 2 bbl carburetor was totally rebuilt. A new brake master cylinder, new brake lines, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders have been installed all around. All fluids have been refreshed. The 2 speed automatic transmission shifts very smoothly like it was meant to. It has 4 brand new tires with less than 100 miles on them with a new spare in the trunk.. The chrome is excellent and all the factory trim is there.
Inside, new seat covers front and back were installed. Also new carpeting in the factory color has been installed and is protected by new front and rear rubber floor mats. The car has been fitted with a brand new windshield and sealed to keep you dry in wet weather.This Bel Air has a nice, big car ride for comfortable trips wherever you want to go.
The A/C does not work and I did not try to get it working. The gas tank needs a new fuel sender for the gas gauge to work. It also needs a muffler and a tail pipe to be perfectly road worthy. Other than that, a little sanding and a couple of layers clearcoat and you will enjoy the looks you get on main street. The car is sold with a clear Arkansas Title.
