1948 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster Pick Up Truck. The Truck has cool combination of Resto-Mod and Rat Rod design cues. The Truck was put on a 1992 Chevy S10 Frame which has Modern Independent Suspension. Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering. The Suspension was lowered using Drop Spindles and a Flip Kit in the rear. Running Gear is a 350 SBC backed by a 700R4 Overdrive Transmission with a New Billet Aluminum Trans Cooler. The engine has been gone through and had a good servicing with New Oil. Oil Filter. Plugs. Wires. and a Cap and Rotor. It received a Comp Cams Thumpr Cam. as well as an Edelbrock Performer Intake. 4 Barrel Carburetor with an Electric Choke. and a new High Performance Ignition Coil. I have New S10 V8 conversion Headers still in package. but they are not installed. A new Oversized Aluminum Radiator and Electric Fan Keep things cool. An Edelbrock Air Cleaner and Signature Series Valve Covers. along with a Braided Hose kit dress things up a bit. A brand new Fuel Line. Fuel Tank. and Electric Fuel Pump feed the motor. New Battery was installed and I rewired the Entire truck with a modern Fuse Block. and Color Coded Illuminated Switches. A new Throttle Cable with Custom Fabbed Copper Sheath and new Chrome Spoon Style Accelerator Pedal were installed. The Brand New GT Steering Wheel. B&M Unimatic Shifter and Leather seat give a touch of Resto-Rod to the interior. I Fabbed a Stop Sign for the Trans tunnel which flows well on the Rat Rod side of the styling. The inside of the cab has been Dynomatted and new Carpet installed. On to the Body: The body was Stripped. Primed. and Base coated in an Anodized Bronze. then Top coated with an Awesome Hand painted Faux Patina Paint Job that so closely resembles the original Patina. that people are astonished that its not real! The Windshield and Back Window are Original. and have an awesome aged look. The corner Cab Windows are New. The Side windows are original and functional. but the Drivers side is Cracked (It does not leak). I have New Felts and Wipes I installed as well. All four Fenders are New Lightweight fiberglass Units. Both Driver and Passenger side Cowls and Lower Doors have been replaced with New Steel Panels. The bed has been given a new Corrugated Metal Floor which is easily removable to access under the truck. New Harley Davidson Side View Mirrors. The Tail Lights are New Low Consumption Ultra Bright LED units. The Wheels and Tires are New Staggered Boss 338's 20x10 Rear and 18's up front. As a Finishing touch. I put the Sailor Jerry Rum Logos on the Doors. They are Matte White Vinyl. and can be removed easily if the buyer so chooses. Although. it gets a LOT of attention with them :-) The truck comes with a Mountain of extra parts. I have a complete set of extra Doors. 3 Hoods. All 4 Original Fenders + 1 Extra Passenger Front. Headlight trim. hood Badges. Several Handles and Latches. The list goes on and on. Believe it or not. I'm probably still forgetting something. Lol The truck really is cool and Turns Heads Everywhere it goes. I have a Folder full of Receipts showing how much money I have in parts alone. I probably have well over a Thousand Labor Hours. and God only knows how many Tools Purchased to put this thing together. I can guarantee that you can not build this Truck for what I have the reserve set at. Please Note: The Pictures show the Truck during different stages of the build. The Pictures of the Truck is Gray were taken prior to the Faux Patina Paint Job.
