Description

Thanks for looking at my 1975 Corvette convertible. This is a standard interior, L48 350 car. It has the original motor, original transmission, original carburetor and the original alternator in a box. The car has been updated with a rebuilt 1979 corvette posi-traction differential, brand new trailing arms/bearings/rear suspension/new U joints, etc. Additionally, the car has true dual exhaust installed and the smog pump removed/deleted. It really runs out nicely and has new brakes and tires within the last 3 years/1500 miles.
The seats have been completely rebuilt from the frames up with new foam and covers installed at Carlisle, PA during the Spring show in 2017. The car has a new clutch installed when the tires were done three years ago.
This car does not need anything mechanically to drive and enjoy as is.
What works great:Engine (no smoke, runs cool)Transmission (shifts smoothly, fresh gear oil)Driveline (all new U-joints)Power windows (freshly greased and run fast and smoothly)Power Brakes (new pads and rotors and fresh fluid)Manual convertible top (no rips or tears about 4 years old)Headlight systemPower steering system (NOS pump rebuilt Lonestar control valve)No leaks (no crush rubber/steel valve cover gaskets)Exhaust (true duals sounds awesome)Factory Air Conditioning (works as well as C3 AC can work which is kind of weak, but the top is dow, so...)
What does not work great:Crappy aftermarket head unit and crackly speakersBattery/Jack/Storage compartment cover - the frame is crackedCarpet is OK but should be replacedSmall crack in rear quarterPassenger courtesy light out (needs bulb?)Map light in rear view does not work (needs bulb?)

This is the last year for the C3 convertible and it looks like prices are rising as they only built a little over 4,000 of these. I have a folder of receipts and invoices for the next owner. This is a really fun, solid car that needs it's next owner. I have 2 kids in college so I can only keep one toy and I have another C4 Corvette that I'm going to hang on to. There is a small lien on the car so if you win the auction, I have will have to pay the lien off to get the second half of the title from my lender. I won't release the car until the payment has cleared. Feel free to visit my youtube channel and see a couple of videos of the car. Just enter "Highlander1732" in the youtube search field and you'll see a number of short posts I did regarding the car.
I'll be advertising the car locally as well...
