Car description |
---|
1973 Corvette. Original L-82 350, 4 speed, Positraction, in good running condition. Odometer shows 79,200 miles but I can't verify it. My original 1994 sales slip says "58,740 - not actual". The engine was professionally rebuilt in 1994 at 60,000 miles. Didn't need much, rings, valves, no bore.Exhaust headers with Corvette sidepipes. Aftermarket covers. All wheel bearings, brakes, ball joints, A-frame bushings & u-joints replaced.
Adjustable fibreglass rear spring with offset trailing arms for wide tires, and adjustable strut rods.Lightly customized front fibreglass nosing & grille. Front spoiler. Racing belts (timed out).Interior redone stock. Tilt & Telescoping steering column. T-Tops. Removable rear window, like 68-72 models. The frame has been patched at the kickups - solid now, and there's some rust at the drivers door lock. Older candy blue paint with a scratch on the rear deck. See Pictures. AC is missing. Seat belt winders are jammed. The original paint was #922 medium blue, interior #413 midnight blue. This is a basic performance car without a lot of options. Not that many made with this combination. The car is an early build, (10/72) with a left over 72 (cast 6/20/72) engine reworked for 73 by GM. Engine #3970014. I have a magazine cutout about this. This is a driver, not a show car. It is just a great hot rod to have fun with, or a good base to restore if you want. This is a "No Reserve" auction starting at $11,000.-. Highest bid over will buy it.
