1971 Chevy Monte Carlo*SURVIVOR*
"super original"garage find
stored for over 30 yearsIncredible garage find. Original paint, original as i have seen for 45+ year old car. Purchased from 2nd owner who bought it in 1972
Runs and drives but will need some tlc to make road worthy. I replaced oil, filter, drained and put in fresh gas, adjusted points and installed battery. It runs great! Tires are dry rotted, brakes work but should be gone through. pinion seal leaks, and water pump is noisy. Paint is aged and poor, great patina - see pics. Chrome and moldings are mostly in very nice condition . Stainless trim is great. Bumpers are nice. Grill is very nice. Some pitting on mirror and handles. Vinyl top looks great exceptional for its age. Interior is awesome, even the carpet is nice. Never smoked in! All original Interior. Mouse got in the headliner and chewed a few small holes about a dime size. No rips in seats, no cracks in dash, door panels are exceptional. Original am radio. Has a 8 track installed underdash. Body is very solid but not perfect. Bottom rear of front fenders have some rust and right rear around wheel.Doors, hood, rockers, trunk lid very nice. Floor pans solid some surface rust but dont see any rust through. Trunk very solid but does have a couple spots mainly towards the back and hard to see. Has working delco rear air shocks. Has TILT wheel. This car would be a great car to restore to show. It also could be a great car with a little work to drive and have fun with. Please view photos and i can send more if needed. I recommend to have it inspected before bidding so you know exactly what you are purchasing. You are buying AS IS! I am trying to do my best to describe the condition. It is a old car that has been off the road for a very long time, so it is not road worthy! You are purchasing it where is and as is. It is solely up to the purchaser to have it transported. Comes with a NY transferable registration signed for transfer by previous owner. I am selling for a friend. The car is for sale locally so we can cancel the listing at any time. You can reach me at 716-435-5020 to make arrangements for inspection or to answer questions if needed. I plan on selling this car. I will not be relisting it over and over to try to get an unrealistic price so please be serious when bidding and make sure you want it and have the funds available. THANK YOU!
