1968 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Hardtop Sport Coupe solid southern car big block

For sale is a clean solid southern hardtop Chevelle with a fresh 454 backed by a turbo 400 trans and a 10 bolt posi with a 3.08 ratio out back. No problem with that tallish gear with the big torque of the 454, Matt the gas pedal and she will boil the tires. Long gears mean comfortable highway cruising. Huge radiator with twin electric fans keep it cool. This car is not an SS, not a Malibu (please excuse the badges), but an ultra rare 300 Deluxe Hardtop Sport Coupe with a factory V-8 auto, one of 2200 made with 200 of those going to Canada, and less than 200 remaining in the world today. New dual exhaust with iron manifolds and shorty turbo mufflers is very loud. This car has a new full floor pan and the rest of the car is absolutely solid with a flawless original trunk pan, inner fenders, body mounts, radiator support, rockers, door bottoms, frame, body mounts, etc. Runs and drives well, stops well with disk front brakes. New full carpet and nice original back seat and front and rear door panels, will need a new dash pad (cracked) and headliner. Wrong bucket seats need to be replaced but are comfortable. All glass is good, windows roll up and down except drivers side rear which will go but needs vise grips due to a partially stripped crank spline (could JB weld the crank to it and be good to go but I'm not a hack). Missing rear window trim and all other trim and bumpers are original so not perfect. Nice aluminum Weld Racing rims that need polish, new front tires (235s) and old rear tires (275s). Very solid body with some filler behind the tires but nothing crazy, crisp metal edges everywhere. Chassis has only 125k miles on it, lots of new suspension parts. Needs finishing, I am no longer physically able. Will need cosmetics and some wiring. Selling off all project vehicles. I have a clean, open Kentucky title for the car.
