Car description

Today I have up for sale my 1979 Malibu. This car has an engine and trans but it has been sitting for a while so I do not know if it runs or not. When I purchased it I also recognized that a few parts were off of the engine so I didn’t invest the time or money to see if it runs because I had plans for an engine swap. As far as I know this could be a perfectly running car as it sits but I don’t have the time or money to invest. I purchased this car with the hopes to redo the interior and convert to an LS engine but have decided on another project. This car has a straight body and only a few small sections of rust near the driver’s side back glass. The front seat is a bench and the back seat is in the car as well. However, a few of the panels are missing from around the back which should be easy to order.

For the time that I have owned this car her is a list of the good and bad

First the bad

- The car has not been started in years so the engine is questionable

- The car is missing some interior pieces that can easily be replaced

- The car has a rust spot near back glass on driver side

- Car may be running but some of the engine parts are missing

- The car is missing a few small exterior trim pieces which are also easy to replace

The Good

- Car comes with a clean and clear title in hand

- Car is very solid with little to no dents

- This car is very solid No rust in the trunk and surface rust on floor pans (see pics)

- Car is a very popular G-BODY style that is becoming very hard to find.

- Car was parking for a long time so body and engine doesn’t have many miles.

- Factory style wheels

- All of the bumper filler panels are still on the car

This car would make a great race car or street car for anyone who is interested. I have a clean title so there will be no problems putting this classic back on the road. These cars are light and can take a lot of power. This is the reason I wanted to use this car for an LS swap. And since the interior was pretty much missing I had plans for a complete custom interior. This would be a great father/son or father/daughter project, a great race car, a great factory vehicle after the time and money is invested in getting the car running, great platform for customizing as well. Based on the fact that these cars are very hard to find in good condition I feel that my asking price is very reasonable. Also, due to the fact that it just may have a running/ matching number engine this car is a steal.

Please call or text me if you are interested in making a serious offer. I live in a different city from where the car is located so I prefer weekends when I am free. However, I will make provisions for a serious cash in hand buyer. My number is 205-240-8075. Please feel to give me a call if you are ready to make a purchase. Price is negotiable but I really don’t have to nor want to sell so please no low ballers. We all know that these cars are great little cars and well worth the investment.
