Car description |
---|
Be the only one on your block, your county or even your state to own this one of a kind special car that GM should have made, but didn't.
This car started out as a 1966 El Camino. The 1967 GTO front sheet metal was meticulously massaged to fit into a place it was never intended to go, but looks like it came from the factory that way. The 2016 Cadillac CTS seats, console and door panels makes the cockpit look and feel like a late model new car. It has power steering and power brakes, Vintage Air in dash air conditioning, tilt steering wheel and Dakota Digital instruments.
The low mileage (50K miles) engine is a 1995 GM LT1 350 cubic inch V8 coupled to an 4L60E 4 (1996) speed overdrive transmission. The transmission delivers its power through a new drive shaft to a completely rebuilt limited slip 3.36 stock rear end. The car has been completely rewired and has OBD2 diagnostics.
The front suspension and steering is completely rebuilt, as is the rear suspension and entire brake system. While the floor inside the cab did have some rust requiring a new one piece floor to be installed, the frame is as solid as the day it was new, not requiring any repairs. The car has a little over 1,000 miles since construction to become a well sorted ride. It runs quiet and smooth, driving like the new car it is.
This car draws a crowd everywhere. Whether at the auto parts parking lot or a car show, everyone wants to take pictures and ask you about it. Don't let this unique opportunity slip away.
