Car description

1964 Chevy K10 Stepside 4x4. Overall, it's a great solid truck that mechanically needs nothing. It only needs cosmetic work like paint/body and interior and it's completed or just enjoy it the way it is. Runs and drives great and goes 70mph down the highway effortlessly. All mechanical restoration work was done about 22,000 miles ago and I've taken it on several 250-300 mile trips with no issues at all. The 4x4 works great. It's the large window and desirable cab!
ENGINE and DRIVETRAIN:
Large journal 327 bored .030 over and the rotating assembly was balanced. An Edelbrock RV cam was installed and all bolt on's were replaced at the time of rebuild. It has a new Edelbrock 500 cfm carburetor, water pump, fuel pump, clutch, ram horn exhaust manifolds, aluminum radiator, fan, fan clutch, shroud, starter and alternator. A new dual exhaust was also done.
It has the SM 465 4 speed manual transmission and the NP205 transfer case. Both gear boxes were gone through at the time the motor was done; all bearings, synchros, seals, etc were replaced to make them reliable.
The front differential is a closed knuckle Dana 44. The wheel bearings and front brake shoes were recently replaced and the differential was serviced with fresh gear oil. The rear GM 12 bolt has an Eaton limited slip. The limited slip as well as the rest of the differential was rebuilt. It's geared 4.10:1. Both the front and rear driveshafts were also rebuilt with new slip yokes and u-joints.
BODY:
The body is pretty straight with some minor dings, nothing major at all. This truck was repainted black at some time, and some of the paint is peeling in spots. The "patina" is OK and will only improve as time goes on. All glass is there and intact with no cracks. The windshield is new and was replaced right before the mechanical overhaul. LED tail lights and park lights were also installed.

INTERIOR:
As you can see from the pictures, the seat needs to be reupholstered. The floormat is there, but could certainly stand to be replaced. The interior paint work is fair and presentable when cleaned. Most of the factory gauges did not work, so I installed Autometer gauges in a replacement dash insert. All gauges work and read accurately.

Overall, this is a very mechanically sound truck that you can drive home. It really needs nothing and can be used/enjoyed as-is. I've driven this truck around off and on for the better part of about 2 1/2 years with zero issues and it always attracts attention wherever I go in it! The fuel economy is not bad at all, it gets 13.5 mpg regularly and has plenty of power to be on today's roads.
