1966 CHEVY CORVETTE ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING427390 HP, 3 YEAR BODY OFF RESTORATION. ALL CASTING NUMBERS AND DATES ARE CORRECT ON ALL PARTS. RESTORED TO NCRS SPECS. THE ONLY COMPROMISES ARE THE ORIGIANL AM/ FMRADIO HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO STEREO WITH AN IPOD JACK,AND KICK PANEL SPEAKERS INSTALLED, THE CLOCK HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO QUARTZ OPERATION,ALSO THE STANDARD EQUIPMENTELECTRIC RADIOANTENNA IS MANUALLY OPERATED. EVERYTHING HAS EITHER BEEN REBUILT OR REPLACED I MEAN EVERYTHING FROM THE PROPERLY LOGOED AND DATEDWINDSHIELD TO THE BRAKE LINES FUEL LINES LECTRIC LIMITED WIRE HARNESSESETC. ETC.. THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT BY R&L ENGINES IN DOVER NH BORED .030 OVER,THE TRANSMISSION BY DARRELL'S IN INDIANA, THE REAR END AND TRAILING ARMS BY AMERICAN CLASSICS IN CONCORD NH. PRODUCTION DATE 1/27/65 AND DELIVERED TO GENE BRUSS CHEVROLET/OLDSMOBILE IN UNION CITY IN. APPARANTELY THE MOTOR WAS DISASSEMBLED IN THE MID 70S AND ALL THE PARTSSTORED IN THE COCKPIT AND THE CAR MOTH BALLED UNTIL I ACQUIRED IT. I HAD TO LIFT THE BLOCK OUT OF THE INTERIOR WITH MY TRACTOR (I POSTED A PIC OF THE AS FOUND CAR YOU CAN JUST MAKE OUT THE BLOCK IN THE BACK OF COCKPIT). WHEN I TORE DOWN THE INTERIOR THE 5 OR SO DOLLARS IN CHANGE I FOUND UNDER THE SEATS AND RUGSHADNO DATES LATER THAN 74. THERE WAS A BOXEDSET OF NEW BEARINGS DATED 1974 AMONST THE LOOSEPARTS. THEBODY WAS MEDIA BLASTED, GEL COATED, AND EPOXY PRIMED UNDER THE ORIGINALCOLORRALLY RED ACRYLIC LACQUER PAINT. THE BUMPERS RECHROMED IN CONNECTICUT. I HAVE A LARGE FOLDER OF PARTS AND WORK DONE I AM AFRAID TO ADD UP THE RECIEPTS. WHEN I GOT THE CAR IT HAD SIDEPIPES BUT ITISN'T A SIDE PIPE CAR I RETURNED IT TO UNDER CARRIAGE EXHAUST. KNOCK-OFF RIMS AND REPRO GOLD STRIPE TIRES. I HAVE CONCLUDED THAT 3 CORVETTES (2 MIDYEARS AND A 60) ARE TOO MANY FOR ONE GUY. BECAUSE IT IS A FACTORY POWER STEERING CAR YOU CAN ACTUALLY PARALLEL PARK THIS CORVETTE UNLIKE MY OTHERS
