This 1947 Chevy 3100 is an exceptionally good driving machine that has been on the road for over 2 years as a regularly driven machine.
We've only had this truck at the store for about 2 months, and everyone here hides the keys so they can take it on errands, to cruise nights, or just a quick cruise home because it is so cool!
The truck started with an original patina body found in Texas, and it has just the PERFECT look, and isn't something you can replicate unless your name is Mother Nature.
The body is solid and straight, but it is NOT perfect!!! It has some cut out rusted areas, some previously damaged sections, and other blemishes that you can clearly see in the 100 photos below. Panel fit on the doors and tailgate is very good, and the doors close and open easily without any drooping. Hood latches down securely, and stays put even at 75 mph on the freeway.
The patina finish has been professionally clear coated to "lock in the freshness", and it looks unique at every panel and part. One of the coolest patina finishes you will see.
The vintage sun visor over the windshield is one of the coolest parts of the truck, and it is mounted securely and doesn't shake or shimmy at speed.
Roof lighting looks killer, but is for appearance only.
The chrome and bright trim on the truck is a mix of really good and perfectly patina finished, and together it makes the truck really stand out in a crowd.
The 1953 Cadillac front bumper is massive, but fits the truck perfectly and looks like it was made for it.
Not to be outdone, the rear bumper was removed from a 1964 Rivera, and custom cut and made to fit the truck.
It rolls on a set of 18" staggered "Cragar style" American Racing rims with just the right amount of faux patina to make them fit the rest of the style, and recent rubber with just 4,200 miles on it.
Bed wood was cut to fit out of lumber scraps, and it is solid enough to support over 650 pounds of people standing in it during a parade without flinching.
Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, hi beams, and turn signals work as they should.
Glass is good, clear, and issue free, except for the vent windows, which are original, and show cracks in them.
The outside of the truck shows really well, and it never fails to get attention wherever you take it. Park next to a Ferrari or a rare #'s matching muscle car, and the truck gets ALL the attention because it commands it.
The original owner that commissioned the build was in the craft beer business, so the door panels and headliner were all done is a beer-themed design that looks kitschy, and is another conversation starter at shows.
Carpeting is just normal, stock carpet that was installed over sound deadening material, and the shift is capped with a Samuel Adams tap topper that looks great and works even better.
Aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauges were mounted under the dash for accurate readings, and the original dash was covered in vintage look saddle leather that looks awesome! Dash cubby is place for cell phones, and the MP3 line out allows for stereo sounds direct from your phone.
The seats are from a 2004 S10 pickup, and they were recovered in a real aged-look leather that shows incredibly well and is flaw-free. Center armrest comes down for storage and dual cup holders, or flips up to add a third passenger.
Windows roll up and down with ease, and the door pulls and window rollers work as they should.
S-10 frame with new front stub and rebuilt rear end was fit to the body with a nice dropped stance that allows for plenty of suspension travel but great looks.
The motor is a new crate 2.8 from ATK with Throttle-body injection, and it is mated to a rebuilt 5-speed manual transmission with new clutch and pressure plate when assembled.
It starts, runs, and idles perfectly, and is a stock build with no modifications.
Snick it into gear, and it rolls down the road like a modern vehicle, and shifts smoothly and cleanly through all gears.
It goes on the freeway with ease, and I have personally taken it on a 75 mile round-trip without any issues whatsoever.
In town, it tools around like modern car, never gets hot, doesn't do anything funny, and is ready to go wherever you want to take it.
Power disc brakes and power steering make this handle and drive so easy anyone in the family will be comfortable behind the wheel, and it stops without any wander, pulling, or excessive fade.
This truck was driven to Missouri and Nashville and back to Florida and used regularly as a weekly, if not daily, driver. It is just as capable as your neighbors Camry for daily use, and can be maintained inexpensively at any franchise service center or GM dealership.
If you are looking for a vehicle that will get you all the attention in your town, this is the one. Everywhere you take it, people want to shoot a photo of it, or with it, and it is the star or any show you take it to.
It was featured in a regional car magazine, which is where the last 12 photos came from prior to the patina finish being clear-coated.
That’s about all I can tell you, but I encourage questions and addition photo requests if it helps you make a decision.
READ THE AD COMPLETELY.

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET - NO DISAPPOINTMENTS.
I took photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection PRIOR TO BUYING IT. I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the vehicle as best I could. It has a clean and clear title, and is ready for a new owner. The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 15 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it. I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.
