INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME. PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-803eight WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS. This is just a really neat old truck. It is a two owner 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 Super Custom Camper Special Longbed Pickup truck that was built in the Fremont, CA plant, sold new here in Southern California, and has remained here it's entire life. It still has it's original Ochre and White paint. It has never been re-painted. The paint is almost 50 years old. Yes, it is very thin in spots. Yes, it has surface rust. Yes, it has uncountable imperfections. But would you rather have an untouched Survivor or a freshly painted one that has more bondo than metal? Prices on these trucks continue to climb and you will have a difficult time finding a more original one than this for what you can buy this one for today. I am not asking a jillion dollars for mine like everybody else seems to be doing. It is priced very reasonably and will sell this first time advertised.
The truck came from the factory with a Parchment interior. This is a cool truck with great patina to just drive everyday as it sits or is definitely deserving of a full restoration. This truck came factory loaded with the desirable 402 cubic inch Big Block Chevy V-8 and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, Four Seasons Air Conditioning, sliding rear window, heavy duty suspension, tinted glass, auxiliary fuel tank, auxiliary tool box, and more. The Glovebox sticker listing all of the options is still intact. The Chevy runs and drives very well. The engine is smooth and strong. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The factory chalk marks are still on the firewall. The AC does not have a belt on it so it is obviously not currently working. The body is very straight. It does have a few minor isolated rust spots. I do not think any panels need to be replaced or anything, just repaired. There are a couple spots on the corners of the driver's door and one on the corner of the passenger door. The driver's side rocker is excellent. The passenger side rocker still has the factory pinch welds that are excellent but does have rust in the middle of the rocker. I do not think the rocker needs to be replaced but I just want to be upfront and honest from the beginning so you are happy with your new truck! I have the door for the exterior toolbox but it does have some rust on it.
The floorboards and frame are in beautiful condition and are extremely solid. The body mounts are nice. The interior of the bed is nice original. It does have a wood bed and the wood certainly needs to be restored. There is a spot of rust on the passenger side of the roof near where the windshield pillar meets the driprail. Most of what you see on the roof and truck in the pictures is heavy surface rust. The cab corners are excellent. The front bench seat needs a seat cover. Woodgrain dash and glovebox. The dashpad has some cracks. Personally I would leave this Chevy exactly like it is and just have fun with it. Take my dog to the beach, take my cooler of beer to the river, or tow my buggy to the desert. However, if you did want to restore one completely, this is a great truck for that too. Clean, clear California title in hand. I am located in San Diego.
I can help with transportation either getting it loaded on a truck or assisting you however I can at the buyer's expense. Inspections are encouraged but must be completed before the end of the auction. $1000 non refundable deposit due at auction end and remaining balance due within three working days. Payment must be in the form of cash in person or via certified bank wire transfer. I do my best to accurately describe the vehicle to the best of my abilities. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are NOT to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the BUYER to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The SELLER shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. The BUYER is responsible for any/all shipment costs involved in transportation of the vehicle. References for shippers are available upon request. This Chevy is being sold "as is, where is". Thanks and good luck!
