This is a DRIVER QUALITY car NOT any kind of show car.......driver quality body/paint/trim......I built this car with safety and reliability in mind first and foremost. It's the definition of a "10 footer"......and older paint job that still shines very nicely but has flaws. Rust free body but has some filler in the passenger side lower fender and isn't anywhere near show quality straight but it is VERY presentable and not an embarrassment to drive. A repaint and chassis detail would take this car to the next level. All the mechanical work is done......
New windshield all other glass is original.New bumpers
It's had a TON of mechanical work and upgrades done and I have put around 1000 trouble free miles on this car since late 2017. It goes down the road straight and smooth......no vibrations, drifting, wandering or squirrely steering and it stops very well with the power discs up front. Not a tire burner as it's geared for highway speeds and gets pretty good MPG if you keep your foot out of it.
Everything works......all interior and exterior lights including back ups and halogen headlights with relays......all gauges work including accurate speedometer.......heater.....updated RainGear wipers......original horns.......new shoulder belt front seat belts.......Ididit steering column w/tilt wheel.......hazard flashers and turn signals.......am/fm stereo in glove box........all heater/defrost controls work as they should......
The exterior body is rust free, no rust under the paint and no bubble rust spots, no rotted out inner/outer rockers, floors, frame braces, etc. Trunk floor is perfect. I did replace half the front passenger side floor pan due to pin hole rust from a leaking heater core at one time. Passenger door looks to have been replaced as the underside isn't as nice as the driver door......but it's not rotted out! (see pics) Rocker panel has filler in it below the door so I am guessing the car may have been bumped in the door/rocker area at some time and repaired. There is no undercarriage damage.
The bottom of the car still retains a lot of the old factory undercoating. One of the links has many pics of the chassis so look at them carefully. Only surface rust on the frame and chassis.....the frame itself is solid.
I am selling because I have another project car and need room. NO RESERVE auction......high bid gets it.

1979 Camaro 2.56 posi.....donor car mileage unknown but it was inspected before being installed and it looked great. I used a new cover gasket but I noticed a very slight drip so it needs to be resealed. Geared for highway speeds and low engine RPM but aftermarket support for this corporate 8.5" rear end is excellent.....other performance gear sets are only a phone call away at Summit Racing or Jegs.
STEERING:
GM DELPHI 600 power steering conversion box
BRAKES:
Power front disc conversion using stock spindles and Chevelle calipers
Rear drum brakes
SUSPENSION:

Runs a consistent 185-195 even in stop and go summer heat traffic!

New fuel tank.....original sending unit that is 100% accurate.
