Car description |
---|
1971 Bridgehampton Blue LT1 Survivor 15086 real miles. It still sports it's original tires, exhaust, paint, interior, everything. The LT1 has it's AIR smog still installed as with all factory components. Factory markings are still very visible on chassis and body underneath, proving this car has been garage kept its whole life. Everything works on the car as it should. The fiber optics are very bright and all work. I do have the protecto plate and owners manual, etc... This car would be the perfect candidate for the NCRS Bowtie award. There were only 1949 LT1's built in 71 being the last high power year with 330hp. Options are LT1, P02 hubcaps, N40 power steering, M21 close ratio trans, PU9 white letter tires. The tank sticker is still on tank. This is the last car I am selling out of my collection, due to retirement downsizing. There are not many low mile, originals left. Don't miss this one buy it and watch it appreciate in value.
The 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the least changed from the previous year. This was the aftermath of the labor problems during '69 and '70. The biggest changes are in the motor to reduce the octane requirements from previous years as mandated by GM. This took higher priority than any cosmetic changes. One thing that was changed was the parking light lenses, most 71's have amber lenses although some early production models have clear. The resin process used to form body parts was also updated to increase quality. This was the last year for the M22 "Rock Crusher" heavy duty transmission. It was named the "Rock Crusher" because of the sounds it made when shifting. Still no black Vettes' this year on the standard order sheet.
