I have owned this Malibu for nearly 10 years. It is a California car. with virtually no rust. It has all original sheet metal. floor pans. and trunk pan. Extremely solid car. About 8 years ago I had the exterior stripped down to bare metal. hand sanded. and painted the factory original color. Base coat. and multiple layers of clear coat were used. The paint is still in very good condition. with only a few imperfections. I believe the mileage shown is accurate based on the overall condition of the Chevelle. Originally this was a small block car. It still has the original Turbo 350 transmission. which has been built up to handle the 496 big block. It also has the original 10 bolt Posi rear end. with 290 gears. I ran out of money by the time I got to the rear end. and decided to live with it until I could afford a 12 bolt Posi with more of a low end gear ratio. but the original rear end is in good operating condition and gives you the ability to cruise down the highway at 75mph while turning about 2600rpm. Below is a list of what I have added to the Chevelle:*496ci Stroker big block. Has less than 500 miles on it. *March billet pulleys with serpentine belt system. *Chrome alternator *new master cylinder and booster*Edelbrock 800cfm carburetor *MSD Electronic Ignition and distributor *Be Cool aluminum cross-flow radiator *Flex-A-Lite electric fans. 2020cfm*Harwood fiberglass 4" high rise hood*built Turbo 350 tranny with B&M shift kit. and B&M 3850 stall converter*Hooker ceramic coated super comp headers*Magnaflow stainless 3" exhaust system with X-pipe*Race Ready Performance electric dumps*New Optima Performance Red Top battery *4 new B. F. Goodrich g-Force Super Sport tires 245/50/ZR16As far as any issues go. I don't think that the front end has ever been rebuilt. I had'nt planned on addressing it for another year or so. I installed a SS dash 3 years ago. It has the tach and gauges. The tach. gas gauge. and temperature gauge all work. I have an issue with the oil pressure gauge. and think it needs a new oil pressure sending unit installed to operate correctly. I never got around to hooking up the amp gauge. Not as young as I once was. There are a few drops of fluid on the drip pan. depending on how long it has set between drives and the temperature. That's basically it. I would rate the car a high end driver. I have included a good number of pictures to show the condition of the car. and I feel that the buy it now price is a fair one. but you are welcome to make an offer if you like. I'm a little flexible. but not much. thanks for looking.
