Car description

I AM SELLING A 1971 CHEVROLET CONVERITBLE CHEVELLE/MALIBU THAT I HAVE OWNED SINCE 1991 (24 YEARS). THE CAR WAS RESTORED IN 2001 WITH ALL NEW INTERIOR. NEW SUSPENSION. NEW MOTOR AND TRANS. REBUILT 10 BOLT POSI REAR END (FACTORY). THE MOTOR IS A BUILT 350/370 HORSEPOWER WITH A 350 TRANSMISSION. IT HAS APPROX. 4000 MILES ON THE MOTOR. NOT SURE IF IT IS NUMBER MATCHING. IT'S THE MOTOR THAT CAME IN THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THE CAR HAS BEEN GARAGED SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. IT HAS A POWER TOP WITH A/C (NOT HOOKED UP BUT I HAVE EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT WORK). THE TOP HAS A PLASTIC BACK WINDOW THAT IS GONE AND A SMALL TEAR IN THE TOP AT THE CORNER. I HAVE ONLY PUT THE TOP UP A FEW TIMES. BUT I KNOW IT IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. LIVING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT THE TOP UP. THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER IS A DIFFERENT COLOR RED DUE TO A LADY BACKED INTO THE FENDER AND HAD TO REPLACE IT AND THEY DIDN'T MATCH THE PAINT VERY GOOD. THE INTERIOR IS SHOWING SIGNS OF FADING AND THE FRONT SEAT IS STARTING TO TEAR. THE FRONT SUSPENSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT'S BEEN 14 YEARS SINCE IT WAS DONE AND THE RUBBER IS STARTING TO CRACK. THE BRAKES WERE DONE WITH NEW MASTER CYLINDER. ROTORS. CALIBERS. PADS/SHOES. WHEEL CYLINDERS AND BRAKE LINES. NEW SHOCKS ALL AROUND WITH AIR IN THE BACK. THERE IS A COUPLE OF RUST SPOTS IN THE FENDER (NORMAL SPOTS) ONE LITTLE BUBBLE ON THE LEFT REAR QUARTER PANEL. I DRIVE IT ONCE IN A WHILE JUST TO PUT MILES ON IT AND THAT'S IT. THE FLOOR BOARDS AND TRUNK ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH NO SIGNS OF RUST THAT I CAN SEE. IT HAS BEEN GARAGED AND UNDER A CAR COVER SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. IT IS AN ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA CAR WITH THE ORIGINAL BLUE PLATES. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AT CRENSHAW CHEVROLET IN 1972. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. THE CHROME IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. BACK IN 2001 I PUT APPROX. $12. 00 INTO IT WITH THE MOTOR AND TRANS COSTING $6000 ( I HAVE THE PAPERWORK TO SHOW WHAT WAS DONE TO THE CAR). I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS REPAINTED TO THE FACTORY RED. THE PAINT IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE WITH LITTLE CHIPS HERE AND THERE. THE BODY IS REALLY STRAIGHT AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO'S. THE CAR IS NOT SHOW QUALITY. BUT LOOKS GREAT. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RALLY RIMS THAT CAME ON THE CAR THAT GO WITH IT. I JUST LIKE THE OLDER STYLE RALLY'S BETTER. THE TIRES ARE BRAND NEW (235/60-15) THAT ARE ON THE CAR. EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE CAR. ALL LIGHTS. HEATER. GAUGES(IDIOT LIGHTS) HORN. WINDSHIELD WIPERS. ETC. ALL WINDOWS WORK. THEY ROLL UP/DOWN NICE. WINDSHIELD IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS. I KNOW I LEFT SOMETHING OUT. SO FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS
